Scout's Honor Pet Resort Weve created a place where your dog can feel safe while you are away ! We welcome new clients . My first dog at age 6 was an Old English sheepdog.

We are a boarding kennel in Minot Maine, offering the VERY BEST in your dog’s boarding care and needs. I knew then that dogs would be a HUGE part of my life but never would have guessed it would take me full circle to this dream of offering my time and expertise to such a sensitive area of people trusting me with their beloved family members. I have been breeding German Shorthair Pointers for over 20 years, and have been handling my dogs as well as client’s dogs at AKC dog shows all over the country. It has given me so much gratification to deliver –whelp a litter , cut the cord , and with that newborn puppy , and a lot of work and training actually have it transform her and I, to be standing in the ring at Madison Square Garden at the Westminster Dog Show . At Scouts Honor we take that same determination and love, into the care of your dog
The name Scouts Honor means more than it sounds. Scout was my HEART DOG... we all have one or have had one. She was my everything , my shadow , and she wanted nothing but to make me happy , and took me to places I never thought I would see in the dog show world . But more importantly took my heart and melted it with pure love, dedication, and unyielding loyalty. In her memory, and the love of dogs that we have been blessed with throughout our lives, we started Scouts Honor Pet Resort, where you can feel safe leaving your four legged family member and know that they will get the best of 24-7 care they deserve! We are ON PREMISES 24-7, we are proud to be a green business that uses no harmful toxic chemicals. We look forward to extending the love and care we give our family members …….to yours.  Just wanted to let you all know that the kennel will be closed this year from June 21 until the evening of June 29. We will be taking dogs from 4 to 6 PM on the 29th, and have reservations starting then .
Thank you all for another amazing year of all of your beautiful fur babies. We appreciate you all, happy new year and we look forward to an amazing 12TH YEAR of business in 2025!

Wishing all of our amazing customers a happy holiday season and new year !! Hard to believe we will be entering our 12th year soon !!!
We have recently been asked by some customers about our photos or lack there of —- of their dogs on this FB page when their dogs are here .
While I continue to send photos and updates directly to customers while their babies are boarding …. It has just become a lot - time wise to put photos up of each dog on FB each time they visit . HOWEVER we will continue to post occasion fun photos and videos as well as always post a photo of all new comers !
