So... I already mighta mentioned that I was adopted. Are you ready to meet my furever family? They are pretty terrific! Not only do I have a mommy and a dad, but I have a grandma now too AND three big brothers and a little sister. I don't know how I got so lucky! We kinda all adore each other, if you can't tell.

They threw me a 🥳 three-hour Gotcha Day 🥳 party with Maureen from the rescue and my foster dad Sam! I had a blast. You can watch my adoption day video here!

I'm told that EVERYONE gets a birthday party EVERY YEAR and with these things called holidays like Halloween and Thanksgiving and Christmas and Valentine's Day and Easter, my life's basically gonna be one big party from now on.

I am learning lots of new things, like who Hello Kitty is and who the Bratz dolls are (at first I was like what'd you call me?!). My little sister loves Lilo & Stitch, and she already taught me what Ohana means.

Ohana means family and family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten. I never knew about Ohana before, but it feels really really good. 🏡 ❤️ 🐾

Hi, it's me, Coco. I was adopted!

But before I introduce you to my new furever family, I have to first say goodbye to my old foster family - Sam, Brady (& Maureen).

💌 Dear Sam:

I guess neither one of us knew that the hardest part of fostering is knowing you'll fall so deeply in love and one day, have to say goodbye. 💔 But my new family says, it's not goodbye forever, it's see you later! Thank you for showing me what love was, for the first time in my life. It felt really good. 💕 You taught me how to be a house pet, how to play with toys (I won't eat them anymore, I promise!) and what making dinner in a kitchen meant. You showed up for me, and gave me consistency, reliability, structure and training. I will miss our Saturday morning snuggles, trips to McDonald's for pup cups and walks around our NE hood.

I miss you. I hope you visit me soon. 💋
