Meet Bambi. Her owners have done a wonderful job raising her, though she still has a few minor quirks we are currently addressing:

* Excitability during petting, which leads to nipping.
* Refining her leash manners and teaching her to yield to leash pressure.
* Strengthening her recall.

🐕 Now Accepting Board & Train Clients! 🐾
Looking to take your dog’s manners to the next level?
I currently have an open spot in my structured Board & Train program!

Your dog will stay with me and receive daily dedicated training, routine handling, and consistent care in a home environment with a fully fenced private potty yard and a secure outdoor run. Plus, they'll even come to work with me for extra socialization, real-world exposure, and routine building!

What We’ll Work On:
Basic to Intermediate Obedience (sit, down, stay, recall, place, leash manners, and focus)
Routine & Structure (building confidence, calm house manners, and clear communication)

Requirements for Applicants:
To ensure a safe and successful stay, dogs must meet the following criteria:
Must be fully crate/kennel trained (comfortable resting calmly in a kennel)
Non-reactive to other dogs (I have two dogs of my own on-site. While interactions between dogs will be strictly limited and carefully managed, a neutral, non-reactive temperament is required for everyone’s safety.)

It is an engaging and rewarding pursuit that any dog with a keen sense of smell can perform. 🐕

Consistency is one of the most important parts of dog training! 🐾

Dogs learn through repetition and clear communication. If the rules are constantly changing, it can become confusing for your dog. For example, if jumping on the couch is allowed one day but punished the next, your dog won’t understand what is expected.

Being consistent with your commands, boundaries, rewards, and corrections helps your dog understand exactly what behaviors you want. Everyone in the household should also try to use the same commands and follow the same rules.

Consistency builds confidence, trust, and understanding. The more consistent you are, the faster your dog can learn and the more reliable their training will become.

Remember: Training doesn't have to be perfect, but it does need to be consistent! 🐶❤️

Play between you and your dog is much more important than just having fun. It helps build the relationship your dog has with you and makes training easier.

🐾 Why play matters
Builds trust and bonding: When you play together, your dog learns that you are a source of fun, safety, and positive experiences, not just the person who gives commands.

Improves communication: Play teaches your dog to pay attention to your body language, voice, movement, and cues.

Creates motivation: A dog who loves interacting with you is often more motivated to work for you during training. You can use toys, games, or praise as rewards, AND SO MUCH MORE ......

Your goal isn't simply to tire your dog out. It's to teach your dog that being with you is rewarding. The stronger that relationship becomes.

Good morning! This is Max 🐾 — a 5-month-old shepherd mix with so much potential.

His owner reached out for help with nervous barking around strangers, puppy obedience, and making sure he gets the right start in life.

Unfortunately, Max was recommended medication for behaviors that are actually a normal part of adolescence — behaviors that need guidance, structure, and clear communication, not a quick fix.

It’s honestly surprising how quickly we jump to medicating dogs before giving training a real chance.

Thankfully, Max’s owner made the right call by reaching out and advocating for him 👏
