Thank you to our amazing clients who braved the heat this afternoon. The heat INSIDE the clinic! The AC unit is now fixed and we should be cool on Monday. We will be closed Friday, July 3rd to observe Independence Day. Please plan ahead for any of your petā€™s medications or food as we need all requests in by Wednesday morning to guarantee pick up on Thursday. We wish everyone a safe and Happy 4th of July!!

Also stay safe during the heat wave this week and limit your petā€™s time outdoors and provide plenty of water and shade. Donā€™t walk on pavement or concrete as it will burn their paw pads. Stay cool everyone!

Beginning tomorrow June 17th we are switching our main all-in-one Flea/Tick/Heartworm/Intestinal parasite oral prevention product for dogs from Nexgard PlusĀ® to Credelio QuattroĀ®. Quattro offers additional parasite prevention by being the first and only oral product with protection against tapeworms. Quattro is 100% effective at preventing heartworm disease from the first dose. Quattro contains lotilaner that kills ticks faster than sarolaner in Simparica TrioĀ® & afoxolaner in NexGardĀ®. Additionally the main feedback that we have gotten from our clients is that their dogs donā€™t like the taste of Nexgard Plus. Quattro is supposed to be tastier to dogs and with the few samples that we got to try out, this appears to be the case. Their claim is that 9 out of 10 dogs will accept Quattro as a treat. Quattro is also a little more affordable and with the cost of everything rising; we want to provide the best medicine at the most economical cost possible to our patients and clients. If you donā€™t wish to switch your dog to Quattro, we will still have some of the Nexgard Plus in stock until we run out but we wonā€™t be ordering any more of them. You can also get the Plus delivered to your door by ordering through our app or our pharmacy partner Koala at https://mineralwellsvetclinic.koala.health.
