We are so excited about this new adventure at the Food bank but we still need help with funding. Can you come alongside the Mineral Lake Lions to make a difference for our neighbors and friends?

🚨 Mineral Daily Bread Food Bank Expansion – We Need Your Help! 🚨

The Mineral Lake Lions Club, along with District 19N Lions, and the Daily Bread Food Bank "Mineral Food Bank", is working on an urgent and impactful project — expanding the Mineral Daily Bread Food Bank!

This food bank serves families from Lewis, Pierce, and surrounding counties, providing essential food and support to those in need. In 2024, the food bank served over 657 families monthly — that’s almost 10,000 individuals annually — more than double the number served the year before. Unfortunately, the current storage space simply can’t keep up with this growing demand, and we risk not being able to serve everyone, especially during peak times.

💪 The Solution: We’re expanding our food storage capacity by 200% — over 1000 square feet! This means:

More room for food storage 🍽️
Increased refrigeration & freezer space 🥶
More efficient food distribution 🚚
Better emergency response for natural disasters or supply disruptions 🌧️

💰 Our Goal: We’re raising $150,000 to make this expansion possible — directly supporting families across Lewis, Pierce, and surrounding counties. We’ve applied for several grants, but one specifically requires us to raise a portion of this amount before their grant review process to show our commitment.

🚨 We MUST raise $18,000 before April 1st to qualify for this crucial funding! 🚨

It's almost Thanksgiving and we want to make sure everyone has the opportunity to gather around the table with a turkey and all the "fixins" this year. This Wednesday, Nov 20th we'll be giving out 105 turkeys along with lots everything pictured below.

Even if you are a regular visitor and have already shopped twice this month swing by for a turkey.

We are open Wednesday from 12:00-3:00 at 127 Mineral Rd. North in Mineral. Turkeys are first come first serve and will be given out one per household.

We had an incredible group of volunteers put up a new overhang on the food bank this morning. This will give everyone a covered area to stand in line as the weather gets worse. Thanks guys!
