BCSO SAR 20th Anniversary 5K Recap:
Wow, where do I even begin! My first ever 5K race and I did it with 3 dogs because, I'm me 🤷🏻‍♀️
Nox, Mera, and Ellie (Student dog) managed to jog/walk the whole 5K and we finished 4th in our division!
Definitely one of those experiences I won't forget and it was extra special because I got to do it alongside my SAR friends!

Thank you Bowie County Sheriff's Office Search & Rescue for hosting such a wonderful 5K event!

Just to start, we are okay!
The hail storm hammered down pretty hard on us yesterday and we lost power since 2pm yesterday.

Due to having no power, we have no signals on our phone so I am unable to receive texts or calls unless I drive into town.

I know they are working hard to get our power up soon! So hopefully we will be back in business but until then, please excuse our delay getting back to you via text, email or call!

Hudson K9 Team Training Retreat Recap:
12hrs of teaching, learning and training with our K9 teams! It was such a long day but a good kind of long day!
Absolutely loved working with our team and getting to throw new challenges at our K9s.
Mera and Nox got to do night trailing and night HRD search for the first time in the wilderness and it was such a fun challenge!
Looking forward to doing another one ❤️

Here's a list of pets who are looking for new homes! They are either being fostered by our students or they have made the difficult decision to rehome due to the animal not being a good fit for their house.
🐾 Bonzo & Gracie
Birthday/Age: 2years old
Location: Mineola
Breed: DSH cats
Vaccine: Will update before going to their new home
Spayed/Neutered: Yes (Also declawed)
Bonzo and Gracie were found outside on a country road huddled up together. When their rescuer called for them, they ran right up to her and the assumption is that they were both dumped there by someone. Since then, they have been fed and taken care of as indoor cats and are thriving now! Bonzo is a silly clown, active and curious, and wants to play with her Great Dane! Gracie is sweet but shy compared to Bonzo and just wants to be by her person. They have not been around other cats. Preference is for them to be adopted together as they are bonded but she is willing to adopt them out separately to good homes.

Birthday/Age: 11yrs old and 9yrs old
Location: Mineola
Breed: Mixed breed
Vaccine: Up to date
Spayed/Neutered: Both spayed
Daisy and DeeDee just recently lost their owner and is being fostered by one of our student. Both are needing home without kids and is looking for a slow paced home that they can enjoy their life in without too much chaos.

Birthday/Age: 1.5years old
Location: Winnsboro
Breed: Bully mix breed
Vaccine: Up to date
Spayed/Neutered: Neutered
Buddy was rescued and has taken few classes with me to build his confidence up. He seems to have gone through some trauma that makes is hard to trust until he has had some time to warm up. Once he warms up, he is sweet and very goofy. Needs a home that is patient with him and help build his confidence up and give him the comfort he needs.

ARSAR 2026 Recap:
This was my first non-K9 SAR seminar I attended and WOW! It was so refreshing to approach SAR from the lost subject and ground team's POV when it comes to search. I learned so much, met new people, and enjoyed learning alongside my team members!
Looking forward to attending it again next year! 😁
