Here he is, folks. The whole reason why I decided to turn my regular doggy daycare into a special needs doggy daycare. His name was Sabastian and he was my 5 day per week daycare guest. He was elderly, completely blind and very fragile. After he went blind, he stopped eating when his mom had to go to work, so she hired me to be his daycare provider. Since he was here so often, I decided to only book other seniors and special needs dogs to keep the pace as relaxed and stress-free as possible for Sabastian. Every morning when his mom dropped him off, as soon as he could smelled me, he'd wag his tail and let out a most boisterous weiner dog howl. I miss that so much. And even though my Penelope was much younger than him, he looked to her as a mother figure and he found a lot of comfort burying his nose in her soft fur. On the morning of July 1st, 2018, Sabastian passed away unexpectedly at his home in his sleep when his mom went to the grocery store. I still think about him almost every day. Thank you, sweet Sabastian. We'll always Love you, bubs! 💚

Woo Hoo! Today marks 8 YEARS for Happy Go Lucky! For a business who almost didn't make it through the pandemic, this is quite an amazing feat for us. Thank you to everyone who kept us afloat through all the ups and downs. We couldn't have done it without you! 🍀
