Lazy C Hobby Farm and Rabbitry We are a small Agriculture business. We have our permits to process and sell rabbit meat. Plus we raise our own beef and pork. We also raise pedigreed rabbits.

We also raise Blue Heeler working dogs.

Our beautiful Ellie is growing up nicely. Love watching our home-grown babies grow into excellent breeding stock.

Good news and some sad to go along with it....its all part of farming.
Bred 6 does last month..3 of the 6 delivered Monday and 1 delivered (technically 2) yesterday. One doe didn't take or is still holding hostages. Shed a few tears because our sweet Mia had difficulty delivering and she passed away in birth after birthing 2 babies that we found under her. Those babies were fostered to my other New Zealand doe that had 4 babies on Monday. Proud to say Sadie is doing great with her 4 and her 2 fosters.
So with all that said we have we have 25 new babies in the rabbitry today. 3 Californian litters and 1 New Zealand white.
God is good. And its a beautiful morning to get out and handle and love on your farm babies...big and small.

I have 4 NZ rabbits left that would be good fair rabbits. Or just breeders for someone. Born June 7th and 8th. 2 does and 2 bucks. We also have 4 Black Otter Rex bucks left.

To all the raccoon loving souls out there...this is for you. THE ONLY GOOD RACCOON IS A DEAD RACCOON.
If you don't like what I said then come tell my chickens that their killer is cute and innocent. I have lost almost all my birds. Every single one of my new young birds that should have been laying in August are gone. 20 of them. At least 15 of my older birds are gone also. I don't have the funds to replace these birds. But that cute and innocent raccoon could care less.
Those eggs from my beautiful birds were sold to buy their feed and even managed to put a gallon milk or a loaf of bread in my kitchen. But not now.
Thought we had got the sucker but nope went down this morning to 6 more birds slaughtered.
We thought we had the entries closed up but they out smarted us again. We think we have it figured out and it will be fixed this evening and traps will be set again.

I had one job...and that was to close up my birds in their stall to keep them safe...did I do that...no.... I closed them up to their death. I failed them miserably.

I'll say it again"THE ONLY GOOD RACCOON IS A DEAD RACCOON."

There my rant is over but it still didn't make my heart feel better.

If anyone feels moved to help us replace some of the birds let us know.

We also had a spa day for the goats today everyone got their hooves trimmed. The babies were separated from the mommas today...going to be a bit noisy for a week or so. The Billies were then moved into the big field with the ladies.
Took us all morning but the 2 disabled folks took care of the critters without any help from anyone else.

Rough start here on the farm this morning...we had an uninvited visitor and they were rude and very disrespectful. My chickens are taking the hit from these unwanted visitors. We have lost around 15 birds in the last week.
