Compassion for all living things is one of the best qualities a person can possess. When I see a man posting a picture of himself with an alligator or snake he's killed, I think it's so pathetic. When I see a man posting a picture of himself with an alligator or snake he's saved, I think it's the most attractive thing in the world. Killing things is easy. Saving them? That takes courage, strength, and bravery. I miss Steve. I think we all do. We were so blessed to even be alive at the same time he was. He was one of a kind. There will never be another Steve Irwin.

Hey everyone. Jen here. I've been out for a couple of weeks, but slowly making my way back. Ashley Rogers has been holding down the fort while I've been gone, and she's done an EXCELLENT job, and at the height of "snake season" no less. Lots and lots of calls she's been fielding by herself, so I wanted to thank Ashley publicly for working around the clock (doing the job of two people here at our volunteer organization, while simultaneously working full time and raising a faimly), and also thank you to our clients for your patience. I will get the ball rolling here again in the next week or so, posting the relocations our team did over the last couple of weeks while I was out, but in the meantime I was hoping you all would join me in calling Ashley out for her addiction to possums. In the last few weeks, her possum rescues have rivaled her snake rescues, and I just think it's time to acknowledge that she may be addicted to these furry little marsupials. Acceptance is the first step to recovery πŸ™
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

One snake, two snake, three snake, four! When mama gets stuck in your pool and has her babies. For some of us this is a dream come true and for others this is a terrible nightmare. This beautiful little family of harmless banded water snakes was safely relocated to a much safer spot.

Hello all!! We are getting into the "busy season". We ask for patience with our dispatch lines. I promise we want to help as fast as we can! The best way to reach us is by text. If you can safely do so, try to get a picture of the snake. Try to keep eyes on the snake as long as possible. I know this may seem counter intuitive but here's the digs; if the snake takes off or hides we have a very low chance of finding the snake. A seen snake is a safe snake. If it's gone and we can't relocate it, we are back to the risk of stepping on the snake, kids not seeing the snake in a pile of toys, dogs finding the snake, etc.
Also, we are volunteers. We had a situation a couple weeks ago where one of our volunteers was berated and I want to be SUPER clear thay we will NOT tolerate that. Our FREE services will no longer be available to you. There are other relocation groups and even pest control services for hire if that is more suitable for you. Our volunteers all work full time, we have kids, we have pets, we have livestock, we pay the same gas prices as you. I have even thrown half cooked dinners in the trash to make it to a snake call. We WANT to help (that's why we're here!) But we ask for patience, cooperation, and understanding.
Thank you so much to everyone who has made the decision to relocate, learn, listen, or choose to coexist. You are why we do what we do! Snake picture for attention.

We relocated the tiniest little noodle in Pace yesterday. This very young banded water snake got stuck in a watering can probably searching for frogs. Thanks to the homeowner for choosing relocation! The snake was walked back to the retention pond behind the house.
