A little late... but worth every second of the wait! ❤️
I know, I know... these puppies are officially overdue for their individual photo shoot. Between puppy chores, life, and me being under the weather for a few days, their close-ups got pushed back just a bit.
But honestly? I think they were waiting for the perfect moment to show off. 🥰
The Cinco de Mayo crew is growing into their personalities, their eyes are full of curiosity, and those sweet little faces are getting harder and harder to resist. From the serious expressions to the silly ones, every puppy brought something special to their photo session.
So without further ado, I'd like to introduce the stars of today's show:
🌮 Taco 🌶️ Jalapeño 🥑 Guac 🍹 Margarita
I may be a little late, but I'd say these adorable faces were worth waiting for. ❤️
Now be honest... which one would have you wrapped around their tiny paw? 🐾🥰

06/09/2026

Well friends, I disappeared for a few days, and for those who noticed, there was a reason. A nasty little tick bite knocked me flat with a high fever, body aches, and enough exhaustion to make even getting out of bed feel like a chore. The good news? Less than 24 hours after starting medication, I'm already feeling about 70% better and finally getting back to what I love most.

And let me tell you... I missed my babies!

So today I took full advantage of some much-needed puppy therapy. As you'll see in the video, the Cinco de Mayo crew was more than happy to help with my recovery. There were puppy kisses, puppy cuddles, puppy snuggles, and enough tiny tongues to make me question whether I was being loved or taste-tested. 😂

Of course, Mila wasn't about to let the puppies have all the attention. While the babies were busy climbing all over me, she was stretched out beside us soaking up tummy rubs like the giant baby she is. Honestly, I think she enjoyed cuddle time just as much as the puppies did.

It's amazing how much better life feels when you're surrounded by wagging tails, warm puppy bellies, and a mama dog who believes every tummy rub should last forever.

Needless to say, today's doctor-prescribed treatment plan consisted of rest, hydration, and an aggressive dose of puppy cuddles. I highly recommend it. ❤️

🌮🎉 Cinco de Mayo Litter Update 🎉🌮

The Cinco de Mayo babies are officially 4 weeks old, and we all know what that means... we're 100% ready for visitors, and deposit holders can begin making their puppy selections! ❤️

Their little personalities are really starting to blossom, and every day they become a little more curious, confident, and interactive.

But this video isn't about choosing puppies.

This video is about a moment I happened to catch this morning while cleaning the nursery.

The puppies were enjoying breakfast while Mom was outside, and when she came back in, she had muddy feet... because of course she did. 😂 Apparently staying clean is simply not part of the job description.

What I loved most was watching Mila engage in play with her babies. She has truly impressed me as a mother. She knows when to be gentle and nurturing, when to teach, and apparently when to say, "Alright kids, let me show you a few moves!" Watching her interact with her puppies has been such a joy.

I wish I had caught the entire thing on video. They had already been playing for a little while before I realized what was happening. As many of you know, I'm usually busy living in the moment—cleaning, feeding, loving on puppies—and I don't always have my camera in my hand. Sometimes by the time I find it and hit record, the moment is already over.

One more thing you'll notice in the video: some of the puppies are scratching. Don't worry—they do not have fleas. They simply received brand-new collars, and they are making sure everyone knows exactly how they feel about this terrible injustice. 😂

Enjoy this sweet little glimpse into life in the nursery. These babies are growing up so fast! ❤️🐾

🦔💙 Sonic Litter Update – 8 Weeks Old! 💙🦔

Tomorrow, the Sonic babies officially turn 8 weeks old, and today was a very important milestone... their veterinary checkups! 🩺

I'm happy to report that every single puppy passed with flying colors. A+ report cards all around! 🎉 The veterinarian was very pleased with them, and while there were a few concerned little faces wondering what all the fuss was about, they were all incredibly well-behaved.

The puppies also received their first vaccinations today. Nobody was particularly thrilled about that part of the adventure, but they were all very brave and handled it like little champions. ❤️

It's hard to believe that tomorrow these babies will begin heading off to their forever families. It feels like just yesterday they were tiny newborns tucked safely beside Cali, and now they're confident, playful little puppies ready to start the next chapter of their lives.

Watching them grow has been such a joy, and while saying goodbye is never easy, there's something special about knowing how many wonderful adventures, couch snuggles, family vacations, and happy memories are waiting for them.

📌 For all Sonic litter families: Please contact your veterinarian as soon as possible to schedule your puppy's next vaccination appointment. Their second set of shots should be given 21–28 days from today to keep them on track and protected.

Thank you to all of our amazing families for trusting us with such an important part of your journey. Tomorrow is a big day, and I can't wait to see these little hedgehog-inspired babies begin their new lives. ❤️🐾

🌮🎉 Cinco de Mayo Litter Update 🎉🌮

A few days ago, the Cinco de Mayo puppies got to enjoy a very exciting milestone... their very first big kid meal! 🥣🐾

Normally I get to witness all of these special firsts, but these puppies aren't just my babies. They belong to a whole team of people who love them, including their guardian families. ❤️

Since Mila's guardian mom, Lisa, was able to come visit, I waited so she could be here to experience one of their first big milestones. After all, she has been eagerly following every update and loving these little ones right along with me.

As you'll see in the video, the puppies wasted absolutely no time figuring out that mush is delicious! 😋 Tails were wagging, little noses were diving in, and there wasn't much hesitation once they realized what was on the menu.

You'll also notice another very important supervisor in attendance... Grandma Cricket. 🐶👵

Cricket spent the entire time watching closely to make sure we were doing everything correctly. I think you may even hear a few of her barks in the background. I'm fairly certain she was offering professional advice, reminding us of proper puppy-feeding procedures, and micromanaging the entire operation. 😂

The good news is that the puppies passed inspection with flying colors and thoroughly enjoyed their first meal.

Just like that, another milestone is in the books. These little babies are growing up way too fast, but it sure is fun watching them discover their world one first at a time. ❤️🐾

🐰💕 It's Baby Bunny Season! 💕🐰

This time of year, many of us discover a surprise nest of baby rabbits tucked away in our yards, flower beds, or landscaping. If you have dogs, that can create a bit of a challenge because even the sweetest dogs are naturally curious about all the new activity.

Here's a simple trick that may help protect the nest while still allowing the rabbits to come and go naturally.

Using a few fiberglass posts (or even lawn chairs in a pinch!) and some cotton string, create a simple visual barrier around the nest. Wrap the string around several times, about a foot off the ground. Many dogs recognize this as a "fence" and will respect the boundary, especially if they've had experience with fencing before.

✅ Keeps curious dogs away from the nest
✅ Allows Momma Rabbit to continue caring for her babies
✅ Gives the babies room to grow and eventually leave on their own
✅ Easy to set up and remove

A few bunny facts: 🐇 Mom only visits the nest a couple of times each day, usually around dawn and dusk. 🐇 Baby rabbits grow incredibly fast and are often out on their own in just 3–4 weeks. 🐇 If you find a nest, the best thing you can do is give it space and let nature do its thing.

Remember, those little babies may look abandoned when Mom isn't there, but that's completely normal. She's usually nearby and doing exactly what a good rabbit mother should do.

Feel free to share this idea with friends and neighbors. A small temporary barrier can make a big difference during baby bunny season! 🐰💚

Some of you may have noticed that one little puppy from the Sonic litter hasn't been listed as available.

Meet Echo.

And today I'd like to tell you why.

Most people see a cute puppy. I see generations.

This story actually begins long before Echo was ever born.

It begins with a little dog named June Bug.

Those of you who have been part of the Hidden Valley Doodles family for many years probably remember June. She wasn't just a good dog. She was one of those once-in-a-lifetime dogs that leaves a mark on your heart forever.

June Bug was brilliant.

Not just smart for a dog—genuinely intelligent.

She seemed to understand things before you even asked. She made good decisions. She was trustworthy. She was kind. She taught younger dogs by example. She had a way of making life easier because she was always thinking.

Now, don't get me wrong...

She also shed enough hair to create a second June Bug every week. 😂

But she was special.

Very special.

And sadly, this winter, we said goodbye to her.

As many of you know, breeding isn't just about producing puppies. It's about preserving the things that make a dog extraordinary and carrying those traits forward into future generations.

June Bug and Tucker gave us Roxy.

Roxy and Buster gave us Blueberry.

Blueberry and Milo gave us Cali.

And Cali with teddy bear gave us Echo.

When I started putting together a video of this little girl's family tree, I realized something.

The video starts with Echo.

Then travels backward through June Bug, Roxy, Blueberry, and Cali.

And finally comes back to Echo again.

A full circle.

A legacy.

A story years in the making.

But that's not what convinced me to keep her.

What convinced me happened a few weeks ago.

Those who knew June Bug will remember her famous "Happy Feet" dance.

When she got excited, she'd do this silly little dance that was uniquely June. It always made me laugh.

Over all these years, through all these generations, I never really saw another puppy do it.

And then one day I caught Echo doing it.

The same goofy little dance.

The same happy feet.

The same joy.

I just stood there staring.

Of all the things that could have been passed down through generations, somehow this silly little quirk had resurfaced.

And in that moment, something in my heart knew.

Echo wasn't leaving.

Now, I'm not saying Echo is June Bug.

She is her own dog.

She'll write her own story.

But every once in a while she does something that reminds me of where she came from.

And every once in a while I feel like June Bug is giving me a little wink from above.

A little reminder that the dogs we love never truly leave us.

They live on in the lessons they taught us.

They live on in the families they created.

And sometimes...

They live on in a little puppy doing a Happy Feet dance in the middle of the nursery.

So welcome to the next chapter, sweet girl.

Your name is Echo.

Because sometimes the most beautiful legacies are the ones that continue long after the original voice has gone quiet. ❤️🐾

Are you ready for THIS much cuteness?! 🥹❤️🌮

The Cinco de Mayo babies are officially 3 weeks old, and oh my goodness… they are just starting to come out of their shells now. Their little personalities are beginning to bloom, and it is impossible not to fall in love watching them explore the world with such innocent curiosity.

Tiny tail wags… little wobbly walks… curious noses sniffing everything… and those sweet baby eyes.

I swear these puppies were designed specifically to yank on heartstrings. Every single day they get a little braver, a little more playful, and somehow even more adorable.

Fair warning before watching this video:
You may suddenly feel the urge to scoop up every puppy and cover them in kisses. 😂🐶❤️

Good morning from the pumpkin patch… apparently the puppies have declared canned pumpkin season officially OPEN. 🎃😂

With this sudden blast of unseasonably hot weather, a few of the puppies woke up with a little bit of stress tummy this morning. Even with air conditioning and fans, puppies can still feel weather changes and stress it can sometimes lead to loose stools. So out came one of my favorite natural puppy helpers… canned pumpkin!

And let me tell you… they were VERY offended that I didn’t serve bigger portions. 😆🐶

Canned pumpkin is one of those simple little superfoods I love introducing early because it can help with BOTH loose stools and constipation by adding healthy fiber and moisture to the digestive system. It’s gentle, natural, and most puppies absolutely love the taste.

🎃 Benefits of plain canned pumpkin for dogs:
• High in fiber to help regulate digestion
• Supports healthy gut function
• Helps with both diarrhea and constipation
• Contains Vitamin A, Vitamin C & potassium
• Low calorie healthy treat option
• Adds extra hydration support during hot weather

One of my favorite tricks is freezing pumpkin into ice cube trays and giving them as cool little summer treats. The puppies think they’re getting something extra special while I’m secretly helping keep their systems happy and balanced. 😎☀️

(And yes… before anyone worries… these puppies are spoiled rotten with air conditioning, fans, fresh water, and constant monitoring. Minnesota weather just likes to keep us all guessing. 😂)
