The AuStella Pet Parlor is currently seeking an experienced, compassionate part-time groomer/pet stylist with 3+ years experience to join our salon team in a 1099 independent contractor position.

This opportunity is ideal for a groomer who values a calm, one-on-one environment and is looking to grow within a salon known for personalized care, quality work, and a more stress-conscious grooming experience. All while working by yourself!

Schedule:
Tuesday evenings: 4 PM – 8 PM
Wednesday evenings: 4 PM – 8 PM
Every other Thursday: 9 AM – 5 PM

Important update from The AuStella Pet Parlor:

Due to unexpected family and personal circumstances, Izzy is no longer able to continue her position with us. Because of this sudden change, we unfortunately have to cancel all new client appointments that were scheduled with her at this time.

I am truly very sorry for the inconvenience this causes and for the difficult position this has created for both the salon and the clients who were preparing to come in. As I have just found out this morning. I know this is disappointing, and I do not take that lightly.

At this time, The AuStella is not able to take on additional new clients until a new groomer is in place. We will absolutely do our best to notify everyone once we are able to welcome new clients again.

🐾A Warm Welcome to Melissa “Izzy”🐾

We’re pleased to introduce Melissa “Izzy”, an experienced pet stylist who has joined The AuStella Pet Parlor team.

Izzy shares AuStella’s commitment to compassionate grooming and positive reinforcement practices, helping create a calm, respectful environment where pets feel safe and cared for throughout their visit.
Her thoughtful approach aligns beautifully with the values that guide everything we do at AuStella — patience, individualized care, and a low-stress grooming experience.

Izzy is currently welcoming appointments:

• Tuesday & Wednesday evenings — 4:30pm–8:00pm

• Beginning Thursday, April 16th — every other Thursday, 9:00am–5:00pm

As AuStella continues to grow thoughtfully, Izzy will be welcoming all new client families.

Ollie will continue caring for his established clientele and will reopen availability to new clients when space allows.

Andrew will continue working exclusively with his existing clients moving forward.

Because AuStella operates as a private, one-on-one grooming studio, we ask all prospective new clients to begin by completing our New Client Application. This allows us to share how our salon operates and ensures that both our team and your pet are a wonderful fit for the AuStella experience.

A New Year at AuStella — Updated Rates & Policy Reminders✨

As we welcome a new year, we want to thank each of you who chooses AuStella as your dog’s one-on-one grooming studio. Your trust allows us to continue offering a quiet, private, emotionally-centered grooming experience — the kind of care that simply can’t happen in a volume-based salon.

Beginning January 1st, our Full Bath and Full Groom services will increase by $5–$15. This adjustment supports the continued cost of premium products, oxygenated bathing, individualized timing, and the slow, calm pace that defines AuStella.

🕰 Policy Highlights (for the comfort of all dogs in our care):
• Pickup time is given at drop-off — we do not text or call when finished
• Please do not arrive early — early arrivals disrupt the dog currently being groomed
• Late pickups (10+ minutes) incur a fee
• Cancellations under 24 hrs = 50% fee before rescheduling
• No-shows = full appointment fee within 48 hrs before future services can be scheduled

Our model stays peaceful because the structure stays consistent. Thank you for honoring our policies and helping us protect a space where dogs can truly relax and be cared for gently.

🐾 Meet Mia, Our Brave Little Maltese! 🐾Today, we had the honor of welcoming Mia, a sweet Maltese, for an emergency groom at The AuStella Pet Parlor. When Mia came in, she was incredibly matted and uncomfortable, showing just how critical proper grooming can be.Despite the discomfort, Mia was incredibly brave and sweet throughout the entire process. Her resilience and gentle spirit truly touched my heart.This is why we do what we do – to bring comfort and relief to pets in need. Seeing Mia transform from a matted, uncomfortable pup to a happy, relieved little girl is what makes my job so rewarding.Thank you to all our clients for your trust and support. 🎉🚿 **AuStella Pet Parlor: An "Interesting" Award Journey! 🚿🎉

Hello everyone,

We’ve got some news that made us chuckle, and we thought you might enjoy hearing about it too! 😊

**AuStella Pet Parlor** was officially notified **TWO** separate times by the Pittsburgh City Paper that we had won the **Best Pet Groomer** category. Naturally, our team was ecstatic to receive such an honor! 🥇🐾

However, after choosing not to participate in an "advertising opportunity" with them, our joyous news turned somewhat puzzling. It seems our top-notch pet grooming services suddenly dropped to second place. 🤔😆

👉 It’s becoming clear that this might be less about recognizing genuine talent and more about running an email data collection scam off the backs of small businesses to keep their advertising dollars coming in. 🕵️‍♂️💸

Apparently, after challenging and questioning their actions the new explanation is that they call the top 3, winners instead of using proper English grammar and verbiage like the previous years by calling 2nd and 3rd place finalists or runner up. We can't help but feel this is some kind of participation trophy scam! 🏆🚫

👉 What’s really important to us is knowing that our clients and their adorable pets recognize the hard work and love we pour into every grooming session. Your trust and support mean more to us than any award could ever convey! 🐶❤️

So, rest assured, despite this interesting turn of events, we’re here and ready to continue providing the only top-tier grooming services in Pittsburgh that your furry friends deserve. And hey, at least we got a good laugh out of the whole situation! 😂

This is not meant to take another winners glory from them. It is meant to get the point across that they are using small businesses solely for their gain.

Our recognition is firmly planted in our clients alone and the only competition we will compete in is with ourselves to be better than each day before and that you can certainly count on.
