Offered to dogs of any age, no prerequisite training required. These sessions are customized just for you and your dog, from puppy to adulthood, from basic to advanced. Tailored specifically to the needs of the family, our private sessions are held in our facility. In addition to the basic obedience cues, the owner can receive advice on problem behaviors specific to their dog. Examples of these problem behaviors include: jumping, stealing, destructiveness, and pulling on leash. Good Manners
Geared for dogs 4 months and older. You can have a great companion dog through proper training that includes teaching your dog basic household manners, help you determine what motivates your dog, and how to use that to quickly and effectively train the behaviors you want. Handler skills learned in this class include how to get your dog’s attention, the “sit stay” & “down stay”, come when called, polite leash walking, greet people nicely, wait at doors, and impulse control. Classes are limited in size and fill quickly. Beyond the Basics
*Prerequisite: Both dog and human need to have completed the Good Manners or have prior permission from the instructor. For the dog who is already proficient in basic skills, this program focuses on fine tuning and making your dog more reliable at a distance and with distractions. These include: further improving leash walking skills; proofing stay and wait in much more distracting environments; coming when called with other dogs moving around; greeting people or a dog politely. Upon graduation, your dog can be tested for the AKC Canine Good Citizen Award. Dog Tricks
Fun and entertaining for dogs and for owners, this class will focus on teaching basic tricks with positive reinforcement. Puppies, rescues, and older companions looking for extra stimulation will enjoy this class. Dogs can be tested and achieve a Trick Dog Title from AKC after completion of this class. K9 Scent Work
Tap into your dog’s powerful nose and natural desire to hunt. We will practice strategic searches that challenge dogs mentally, burn lots of energy, can be done anywhere, and are fun for dogs and owners. Scent work can build confidence in shy dogs and channel the energy of overactive dogs. No prior training is required.
