SUNDAY SPOTLIGHT
Sometimes the sweetest dogs come with a little extra personality. ❤️

Kale is one of those special guys who may grumble and mumble his way through the day, but underneath those funny little noises is a happy, loving boy who just wants a comfortable place to call home.

At around 8 years old and 30 pounds, Kale is the perfect size for someone looking for a companion who enjoys the simple things in life. He loves car rides, enjoys some playtime with the other dogs in his foster home, and doesn’t seem to pay much attention to the cats. He may even be okay sharing his home with a feline friend.

Kale is doing so well in foster care. He appears to be potty trained, uses the pet door, handles stairs without a problem, and is learning that sitting patiently is the best way to get his dinner. When the day winds down and the beds come out, Kale knows exactly what to do—find his cozy spot, snuggle down, and settle in for the night. 🥰

And oh, does this boy love his snuggle time!

Kale was found wandering with his friend Squash, but they are not bonded and can happily find families of their own.

Maybe Kale is the missing piece your family has been looking for. A little older, a little wiser, wonderfully sweet, and just enough of a grumbler to keep life entertaining. ❤️🐾

🌸 Flora has a very important question…

How is a kitty this cute STILL looking for her forever home?! 🤔😹

Flora is a little bundle of fun who believes every toy was invented specifically for her and every empty lap is simply waiting for her arrival. She loves to play, explore, investigate, and generally keep everyone entertained. And those pesky things called naps? Flora would prefer to pretend she’s never heard of them! 😂

Flora and her siblings came into rescue when their caretaker could no longer care for them. Now this sweet girl is ready for the best adventure of all—a life with a family of her own. 💗

She will be up to date on vaccines, SNAP tested, microchipped, and will go home with a spay voucher to be used at our veterinarian’s office.

If there’s one thing Pete has never been short on, it’s LOVE. This 2.5-year-old handsome hunk is a big-hearted pittie with a goofy smile, a playful spirit, and enough affection to fill an entire house. 🥰

Pete is the kind of guy who believes every person he meets could potentially be his new best friend. He loves attention, enjoys his walks, and is always ready for some fun. Give him his favorite Jolly Ball and watch that pittie grin get even bigger! ⚽🐶

And when the playing is done? Pete is all about the cuddles. He’ll happily lean in, soak up the affection, and remind everyone why pitties are such incredible companions. ❤️

🖤✨ Darcy has a little secret… she’s actually a total sweetheart. ✨🖤

Sure, she looks like a gorgeous little house panther with those big beautiful eyes and that shiny black coat. But underneath all that beauty is a gentle girl who would really love to have a person of her own.

Darcy is 2 years old and lives in a foster home with cats and dogs. She’s affectionate, enjoys being petted, LOVES her treats, and is perfectly happy finding a comfy spot to relax.

She can be a little shy when meeting someone new, but once she realizes you’re her friend, that sweet personality comes shining through. 🥰

Darcy is spayed, microchipped, UTD on vaccines, and snap tested — all she needs now is someone to say, “Yep, this beautiful girl belongs with us.” 🏡🖤

She would do best in a calm home without young children where she can take her time settling in and enjoy being your special girl.

FURBABY FRIDAY
Po’Boy is still waiting for his someone. 💙

Some dogs come into rescue and immediately have people asking about them. Others quietly wait… and wait… hoping that eventually, someone will notice just how special they are.

Po’Boy is one of those boys.

He’s a sweet, happy guy who didn’t ask to start over. When his living situation changed, he was left behind and suddenly found himself without the family he knew. And yet, somehow, he still greets people with a happy heart and a tail that says, “Maybe you’re my person?” 🥺🐾

At 5–6 years old and 64 pounds, Po’Boy has plenty of love left to give. He’s house trained, does well on leash, and would likely enjoy having dog friends. He can get a little overly excited when greeting people and may forget that all four paws are supposed to stay on the floor—but he’s working on his manners and just really, really loves people. ❤️

He hasn’t been cat tested, and we think respectful, well-mannered children could be a good fit.

What Po’Boy really needs isn’t complicated.

He needs someone who will choose him.
Someone who will give him a soft place to land.
Someone who won’t give up on him when life gets messy.
Someone who will make him part of the family and keep him there forever. 🏡💙

This good boy deserves to know what it feels like to be home.

🌸🐾 Shay, the Little Girl With a Big Heart 🐾🌸

There’s something extra special about the quiet ones. ❤️

Shay may not be the first kitty to run up and introduce herself, but give her a little time and she’ll show you exactly why she’s worth waiting for.

She’s a sweet, gentle girl who enjoys having feline friends around—especially her favorite buddy, Dunkin. She’s also comfortable around dogs and loves having fun with her toys when she’s in the mood to play. 🎾🐱

And when Shay decides she trusts you? That’s when the magic happens. The purrs start, her sweet personality comes shining through, and you realize this little girl has been waiting for someone who will take the time to truly know her. 💕

Shay is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready for a forever family.

🚨 G***K NEEDS HIS FOREVER HOME!

How is this sweet boy still waiting? 💔

G***k is a big, beautiful Shepherd with an even bigger heart. At around 5 years old and 92 pounds, this gentle guy has so much love to give—and someone is truly missing out on an amazing dog while he waits for his forever family to find him SOON!

G***k doesn’t need a fancy life. He needs a person who will give him what he loves most: attention, affection, and a hand to hold. 🥹🐾

Yes, he had some skin and ear issues that we worked on. He’s also having allergy testing to help figure out what may have been causing them. But none of that changes the fact that G***k is a GOOD BOY who deserves someone willing to see past his current struggles.

He’s house-trained, has some good manners, is okay on leash (although he can pull), and isn’t reactive to other dogs. He’s learning that toys are fun, but honestly… people are his favorite thing. Give him a belly rub and he’ll be your best friend. ❤️

And if you sit down beside him? Don’t be surprised if a big Shepherd paw reaches out for your hand. G***k will happily hold it for as long as you’ll let him. 🥹

He’ll be neutered later this month and can be adopted before then with a return visit for his appointment.

G***k has waited long enough. He needs a forever home—not just another place to wait. 🏡❤️

🫒 Meet Olive! 🫒

Talk about being in the right place at the right time! 💚 Olive was discovered hiding inside a drainpipe while a couple was looking at a house for sale. This tiny girl was in need of some medical attention, but thankfully, she made it into rescue and is now feeling so much better! 🥰

At roughly 3 months old, Olive is ready to put her rough start behind her and start looking forward to the good stuff—lots of love, playtime, cozy naps, and a family of her very own. 🐾💕

Olive is microchipped and SNAP tested. She will be fully vetted in about 2 weeks and will go home with a spay voucher to be used at our vet’s office.

Now all Olive needs is someone to show her that the best adventures don’t happen in drainpipes—they happen in loving homes! 🏡💚

WHY NOT ME WEDNESDAY
🐾 Meet Piccolo! The Ultimate Lounge Lizard! 🐾

Looking for a dog who would be perfectly happy spending the day relaxing on the couch, keeping you company, and occasionally getting up for snacks? 🍪 Well, hello there, Piccolo! 💙

Piccolo came to rescue after a change in his owners’ work schedule meant he was spending long hours alone. Thankfully, he’s now enjoying life in a foster home where he’s settling in beautifully and getting back into a routine.

This handsome guy is extremely friendly and has so many wonderful qualities! He:
🐶 Does well with other dogs
🐱 His previous owner reported he is good with cats
👧 His previous owner also reported he is good with respectful children
🛏️ Sleeps through the night
🚗 LOVES car rides and is a great passenger
🐕 Walks well on a leash
🏡 Is crate trained and does well for a few hours when needed
🛋️ Is a certified couch potato
🍖 Is VERY food motivated—which makes training much easier!

Piccolo did have a little backslide with his potty training after all the changes in his life. He marked a bit when he first arrived, but he has been doing much better in foster care and overall seems to be potty trained. He is not neutered yet, so that may also be contributing to the marking. His neuter is scheduled for September 14, 2026.

What Piccolo really wants is a comfy couch, a loving person, some tasty treats, and someone to cuddle with. ❤️
