K-9 Rescue of the Eastern Shore An all-breed, 501c3 rescue dedicated to improving the lives of dogs in underserved areas of VA & MD. We focus on removing dogs from 24/7 chaining.

K-9 Rescue of the Eastern Shore was founded by like-minded animal lovers determined to make a difference for the many local dogs in need. Our mission is to rescue the abandoned, neglected, abused, sick and injured from some of the most unthinkable circumstances. We provide medical attention and rehabilitate the dogs that enter our rescue program. Once medical and behavioral issues have been rectif

ied, our dogs are then made available for adoption to qualified, loving homes. These dogs are forgotten, thus forced to live a life of solitude, often in filthy inhumane conditions where they slowly suffer . We also educate people about the importance of proper care, spay/neuter and providing essential veterinary attention to ensure good health.

Adopt, if you can’t adopt, foster, if you can’t foster, volunteer, if you can’t volunteer, donate, if you can’t donate, educate. Designate our organization as your charity on Amazon Smile and iGive. Donate supplies including but not limited to food, toys, collars, leashes, flea medications, cleaning supplies, dog houses, kennel panels, fencing etc. Donate funds to our vetting account at Layfield Veterinary Services (Pocomoke or Princess Anne locations) or call (410) 957-0105, donations may also be made through PayPal or mail. Do not support breeders, instead promote adoption. Educate others about the proper care of animals. Spay/neuter, vaccinate, utilize flea, tick and heartworm preventatives and annual check ups with your veterinarian to ensure good health.

MEET THE DOG(s)... WOODY & PAIGE – A Bonded Dachshund Duo Looking for Their Forever Home!

Woody (black & tan) and Paige (dapple) are a sweet, inseparable pair of 5 year old dachshunds who came to us bonded — and their love for each other is impossible to miss! 💛

Paige is the social butterfly of the two, always ready to snuggle in your lap and share her affection. Woody is a little shy at first, but once he knows you’re a friend, he’ll happily join in on the cuddles too. Woody looks to Paige for reassurance, and together, they are the perfect team of love and companionship.

These sweet pups adore being with their people — snuggling, napping, and hanging out together is their favorite thing. They are both crate trained, house trained, and leash-trained, and they’ve done well with other dogs and even met children kindly.

Woody & Paige would thrive in a calm, loving home where they can spend plenty of time with their humans. They are loyal, gentle, and truly watch out for each other. If you’re looking for a pair of dogs who are as close to perfect as it comes, these two are ready to bring endless love to your home. 🏡❤️

- fleece blankets, fitted/crib sheets, & waterproof mattress covers
