Dr. Dake will be out of the office January 23 and will return on Friday, January 31. Dr. Sexton will be available to see scheduled appointments on Saturday, January 25.
Our office hours during this time will be adjusted and we will be open 8am to 12pm daily (closed Sunday). Our staff will be answering phone calls, scheduling appointments and filling prescription refills. Office hours will resume to normal hours on Friday, January 31.
For small animal emergencies please contact the Emergency Clinic of Springfield at 417-890-1600. They are available Monday-Friday after 6pm and all day Saturday & Sunday.

Yesterday we celebrated Doc Dake’s retirement. Doc has worked for 58 years as a veterinarian while raising 7 children in Lawrence county. Throughout his veterinary career he has served on the board at the Humane Society of Joplin, served as a Missouri State veterinarian & Missouri State Representative & ran a large animal mobile practice. The past 28 years he has worked with his son, Chuck, at Dake Veterinary Clinic.

He said yesterday that he worked so long because he enjoyed the work and especially the people.

Thank you to everyone that joined us at the celebration and those of you that sent cards and well wishes. ❤️
