Facts not feelings. Here is a chart demonstrating, on a scientific level, that my captive fennec foxes enjoy and seek out human activity (me) for a good portion of their day. This was an unanticipated side effect of my study that I conducted last month. Although living in a pair and having the ability to play with one another at any time they both still choose to play with me. 30-35% of their time is spent looking at me and wanting to play; “play bow” behavior, barking, running over to the side of their enclosure, etc. when they see me. The idea that captive animals cannot possibly be happy is a falsehood.
