🚨 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨

We are currently locked out of our Petfinder account (link here), and cannot update or remove any animal listings. Please know that none of the animals currently shown there are available for adoption.

Also, after much thought, we want to share that we are no longer operating as a formal rescue.
Kitten Corner & Puppy Street is still a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and we are committed to continuing our mission in a new way—by helping our community however we can. That means supporting pet owners, providing emergency assistance, connecting people with resources, and advocating for the animals who still need us most.

👉 Our donation info remains the same, and so does our Amazon wish list for those who want to continue supporting our work.

Thank you for being with us through every chapter. 💙

No one really talks about this part of rescue . About the cost of always saying yes. About what happens when you give and give and give—until your body gives out.

I landed in the hospital. Fluid and pressure around my heart. The result of unrelenting stress, anxiety, and pushing through tachycardia because there were always more animals to save, more people to help, and no time to stop.

Everyone wants help when it’s their emergency. And I’ve always shown up. But when I’m the one in need? Only a select few ever reach out, ever check in. And right now—I need help.

While I recover, the dogs, cats, and kittens still need care. They still need food. They still need love.

If you’ve ever wanted to support the work we do, or ever said, “Let me know if you ever need anything,” — this is that moment.

Miss Winnie Took the No Litters Pledge!

Today, sweet Miss Winnie officially took the No Litters Pledge by getting spayed! This beautiful girl won’t be adding to the overcrowded shelters or contributing to the cycle of unwanted litters. Instead, she’s now a shining example of responsible pet ownership and community care.

Spaying and neutering is one of the most powerful ways we can protect not just our pets—but our entire community. Every year, thousands of dogs and cats enter shelters due to accidental litters. By simply getting your pet fixed, you’re making a direct impact: fewer homeless animals, fewer euthanasias, and more resources for the ones already in need.

But this mission goes beyond the surgery table. Community outreach means checking in on neighbors, offering a ride to the vet, sharing resources, or helping someone access affordable care. Sometimes a simple act—like reminding someone about flea meds or offering to cover a vaccine—can change a pet’s life.

Miss Winnie’s spay is more than just a surgery—it’s a symbol of compassion, prevention, and progress. Let’s keep showing up for our community and its animals, one pet at a time.

In Loving Memory of Happy Cat Sanctuary

It is with heavy hearts that we share the devastating news of the tragic fire that took the life of Chris Arsenault, the founder of Happy Cat Sanctuary in New York. Chris dedicated his life to rescuing and caring for countless cats in need, providing them with love, safety, and a second chance. His compassion and selflessness touched so many lives, both feline and human.

This heartbreaking loss has also left many of the sanctuary’s beloved cats injured and in need of urgent medical care. Now, more than ever, they need our help. A GoFundMe has been set up to cover the costs of veterinary treatment for the surviving cats and to support Chris’s grieving family during this incredibly difficult time.

If you can, please consider donating to help the animals that Chris so dearly loved. Every dollar makes a difference in ensuring they receive the care they need.

Even if you cannot donate, please share this fundraiser and keep Chris’s family, friends, and the surviving cats in your thoughts and prayers. Let’s honor his legacy by continuing to fight for the animals he cherished so deeply.

Rest in peace, Chris. Your love for animals will never be forgotten.

🚨 URGENT: Neonatal Kittens Need Immediate Vet Care! 🚨

We have three tiny neonatal kittens who are showing signs of Fading Kitten Syndrome, and they need an urgent vet visit to have a chance at survival. Time is critical for these fragile babies, and we can’t afford to wait.

We need donations to cover the cost of their emergency care. Every dollar counts—whether it’s $5, $10, or more, it all makes a difference in saving their lives.

Please donate if you can, and if you’re unable to, sharing this post could help us reach someone who can!

Help Us Keep Our 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Status!

Kitten Corner & Puppy Street needs $300 by April 14th to maintain our 501(c)(3) nonprofit status. Losing this status would limit our ability to fundraise, apply for grants, and continue helping animals and pet owners in need.

While we may no longer operate as a licensed rescue, keeping our nonprofit status allows us to continue supporting the community—helping with vet care, fundraising, and assisting with adoptions.

Every dollar counts! If you can, please donate or share this post to help spread the word.
