We kicked off the season with our Meet and Greet tonight where we introduced our team of instructors and volunteers to our returning and new students. We also honored 2 of our students who have been with us since almost the beginning, Natalie and Sierra. It will be another fun season. There is still time to get involved to volunteer at lessons. We will have our volunteer training this Sunday at 1. Come join us. It’s a lot of fun and we can’t do it without people like you!

Kayla has been a dedicated volunteer since the fall of 2024, bringing both compassion and consistency to her role. In her professional life, she works with accounts at Dittmars Heating and Oil, where her attention to detail and strong work ethic shine.

At home, Kayla is a devoted wife and mother to her two daughters, balancing family, career, and her commitment to volunteering with care and grace.

Kayla especially enjoys her time at the barn, where she finds fulfillment in caring for the horses—affectionately known as “the boys.” Her love for the animals and willingness to lend a hand wherever needed make her a valued part of the team. She loves her “therapy” sessions with the boys.

Meet Jenn Bennett, Retail Ops Manager at First Commonwealth Bank. Jenn is married, has two sons and three dogs she absolutely adores. She began volunteering at HOH in 2025 and it didn’t take long for her to discover how rewarding it could be.

Jenn serves as both a lesson volunteer and a feeder, dedicating her time to caring for the horses and supporting participants during their lessons. “I love spending time with the horses-they’re amazing animals with a calming presence,” Jenn shares. “But the best part is helping the participants connect with them and watching their confidence grow.”

She treasures the friendships she’s formed with fellow volunteers and participants alike. “There’s such a great sense of community here,” she says. “Every lesson is full of small victories and celebrating those moments with participants is pure joy.”

For Jenn , volunteering at HOH is more than just a ways to give back—it’s a source of happiness, purpose and inspiration.
