We did it!! Officially a Certified Journeyman Farrier! Thank you to everyone who has helped and supported me along this journey, all the testers and examiners I’ve had that take the time out of their days to help us (today was and ), the for hosting the exams and holding us all to a standard that pushes us to be better for the horse, my parents for all the days of travel and babysitting (and my dad for pushing me to achieve this), my family (shoutout to for driving me to Ohio and especially for all of the support, love and patience), and thank you to all of my clients for your patience and support with all my days of travel trying to achieve this goal so I can be the best I can be for your horses. told us to take pictures of our work before you finish the foot at his clinic at . It’s been keeping me more honest about fitting to finish rather than using my finish to fit where I might have cheated the foot. Put the foot where I want it in my trim and fit my trim. Keeping it simple is a hard thing to do!

What a day and where to begin. The Empire State Farrier’s Association is always my favorite competition I get to go to each year. It is a great environment at the Dutchess County Fair and it is hosted by the best people around. This year I managed to get the Journeyman Division buckle! I can’t put in to words what it meant to win it this year, especially coming home with the eagle eye class that was sponsored by the family of Rich Albrecht. On top of all the support I had from my family and competing alongside my dad, I know Rich was looking over the contest today. Special thank you to my family for all their support, the Empire State Farrier's Association, and our judge and clinician .edens !!

Measured up and made to fit! Hinds came out longer than I wanted for what I cut so I have to dial that measurement in.
