A huge thank you to Dr. Merry and our incredible team who took such wonderful care of Wilson today. He had his spleen removed which had a large mass. Dr. Merry performed a perfect surgery and he is recovering beautifully.

Did you know that Dr. Emily’s inspiration to go to vet school was not her love of dogs and cats, or even horses?!?! It was the work she did at the Farm Sanctuary in upstate NY, caring for rescued farm animals. She was a summer intern in college and then promptly returned after undergrad was finished to work 2 more years as a caregiver before deciding she needed to go to vet school.
This week she was lucky enough to return and get to spend time with some of the Farm Sanctuary residents.

Dr. Emily and Vinnie are competing the next few weeks at the World Equestrian Center. She will be in the office Mondays and Tuesdays only Thank you to Dr. Laura Poirrier, Dr. Paige Bonner, and of course, Dr. Merry and Dr. Whitacre for providing amazing care to all our patients and clients.

We are now recruiting obese, but otherwise healthy adult cats to participate in the Feline SLIM Study. This is a clinical trial, funded by the Morris Animal Foundation, evaluating the role of f***l microbiota transplants (“poop pills) along with diet to help cats lose weight. Pictured here is one of our current patients, Eugene. His motto for 2025 is “New year, new me!”. Eugene is making great strides with his weight loss, and we are so proud of him.
