Country Kennel Pet Care Center

Country Kennel Pet Care Center Country Kennel Pet Care Center is a fully staffed boarding facility providing non-veterinary care fo We do recommend bringing your dog’s own food.

REQUIRED MEET & GREETS AND OPTIONAL TRIAL VISITS:
Boarding can be stressful for both pets and their owners. To help ease any anxieties, we do require a meet and greet with potential boarders before their visit. We will schedule an appointment with you during business hours so that we can meet your furry family member and allow you to inspect our facility. If your pet seems nervous or unsure during

the meet and greet, we may request a 24-hour trial visit at no charge. We find that this is immensely beneficial for us, as well as your pet. During the trial, they will get to know our routine, interact with our staff, and become familiar with the kennel. Then, when they do come for a boarding stay, they are coming back to a familiar place and people that they recognize. DOG BOARDING:
We offer boarding services for all dog breeds. Each dog has their own individual indoor kennel and outdoor run where they are allowed access to the outside run every two hours. We supply dishes and bedding, but recommend that you bring something that smells like home with you to help your pet stay comfortable. We can provide Wysong dry dog food (made in Midland, Michigan) if need be. Other helpful information:
• Our buildings are heated and air conditioned
• Extra large runs are available for large dogs or
doubles
• Additional off leash playtime in a large fenced in yard with staff or a playmate is available
• Baths (short-hair breeds) and nail trims can be scheduled upon request
• If your pet requires medical attention, we will consult a veterinarian immediately
• Medications can be administered if need be (pills, liquids, & injections)
• You are welcome to bring your own bedding, toys, and treats

CAT BOARDING:
Cats are boarded in a separate area from the dogs. They are kept in our multi-level cat towers with an upper shelf, main floor, lower shelf, and lower floor. We supply cat litter, litter pans, food and water dishes, and bedding. Feel free to bring your own bedding, or any toys your kitty cat may enjoy. We recommend bringing your own cat’s food, but we can provide Wysong dry cat food if you prefer. For All Boarding Services

Good morning friends and critters ☀

Ramone (our favorite German-speaking Rottweiler) has decided that today is Tuckered Out Tuesday. Some honorable mentions were Tired Tuesday, Take a Nap Tuesday, as well as a simple "Ich bin müde," but that didn't quite roll off the tongue.

With summer quickly approaching in a just a few days, he's been busy helping to set up the pools, keep everyone in line, and sneak in a quick sunbathe before dinner. It's clearly all very tiring work 🥱

**UPDATE JUNE 2025** Klaus has found a home!

Good morning friends and critters! We have another puppy dog who is looking for a new home, and we would appreciate if you'd share this post with friends, family, or anyone you think may be interested.

This is Klaus, a 1.5 year old German Shepherd. He's good with kids, other dogs, AND cats! He loves car rides and playing ball, and we think he would do best with a fenced in yard. He is neutered and all up to date on his vaccines and tests. We've boarded Klaus recently and we can attest that he is a very good, well behaved dog.

Please contact Emily at 734-444-5127 with any inquiries or questions 🐾

This week our Tennis Ball Tuesday is Jyn! Jyn definitely has a more stoic approach when it comes to tennis balls. You really have to look at it from all sides and critically think before you blindly run after a ball that's thrown. Why chase them? Let them come to you. Don't exert more energy than you need to. And if worse comes to worst, let the humans retrieve them for you, they always do 😉🐾

What a fashion statement 🤩🐾

Good morning friends and critters, Happy Tennis Ball Tuesday!

Roxie has a pretty solid motto of "always carry a spare." It's dangerous not to, and she always aims to err on the side of caution. We did question her a little bit about whether or not it was more difficult to retrieve a ball when you already had one...or two...or three. She seemed to change the subject rather quickly, all while gathering stray tennis balls strewn about the play yard.

Great job Roxie, now we won't have to pick up before the lawn gets mowed 😆🐾

Sorry folks, Tennis Ball Tuesday is on hold this week. Officer Maji has informed us that he is stepping in for Trail Inspection Tuesday. We've examined the brush pile, hay bale, and leafy woodland trail already and were given the all clear. Next up in the report is the play yard, followed up by the treat bowl.

Wait a minute...the treat bowl...is this really Treat Inspection Tuesday, Maji? You could've just asked! 😅🐾
