Program Update 🐩🐶
One of my biggest priorities is making sure the dogs I produce are always traceable and never end up in a shelter. All of my puppies already go home microchipped, but I’m adding an extra step to my contract and go-home materials. Owners should have their dog’s microchip scanned at least once a year during routine vet visits. If a microchip has shifted or stops scanning properly, I will cover the cost to have the dog re-microchipped. Microchips can occasionally migrate slightly under the skin over time. This is normal and does not harm the dog it just means the chip may not be exactly where it was originally placed. That’s why yearly scans matter. A microchip only works if it’s registered and scannable. If a second microchip is ever needed, that is also completely safe and commonly done.Between microchipping, contracts requiring dogs to come back to me if needed, buyer screening, and ongoing support, I do everything I can to make sure my dogs are always accounted for.
This is just one more step in that direction. 🐶
