Thursday April 30th we will not be having dog training class at Stockdale's. It is our daughter's birthday and we are spending it taking the family out as a tradition. We look forward to seeing y'all next week!

💜 A Message from the Milan Heating & Air Family 💜

Everyone please help us welcome Rayne Artemis Marie Reeves (Rayne Marie) into this beautiful world.

Our founders and owners, Robert Payne Reeves and Bailey Reeves, are currently at the hospital with their newborn daughter, surrounding her with love, faith, and prayer as she receives the care she needs.

Rayne is being closely monitored and supported with oxygen, and we are praying for her oxygen levels to stabilize and for her echocardiogram to come back normal so their family can all head home together very soon. While this has been an emotional and challenging time, we are thankful for the West Tennessee Healthcare Jackson, Tennessee medical team caring for her and for the overwhelming support we’ve already received.

During this time, we humbly ask our community to join us in prayer for Rayne, for strength and peace for her parents, and for continued healing. Your prayers truly mean more than words can express.

We also ask for patience and understanding as our team is temporarily short-handed on the service side. As a result, all preventative maintenance appointments will be rescheduled a couple of weeks out. Our team will be reaching out to affected customers directly, and we appreciate your grace as we navigate this moment together.

Your dog is always paying attention. They are always paying attention to what you allow, what you don't allow, and how they might be able to get what they want.

Your dog is always looking for that way to get what they want. It is your job to show them how and to enforce the rules in a way they understand. How do they score, what will get them penalized, what will get them kicked from the game. It is our job as responsible owners to show them how to succeed.

As uncomfortable as this may be to think about, 9/10 times we are the problem. The good news is we are also the solution. Think about what you are teaching your dog by your actions or your inaction.

Are you teaching them to use the bathroom in your bathroom by putting a p*e pad down and locking them in there instead of crating them and taking them outside on time?

Are you teaching them to pull by allowing them to be at the end of the leash yanking you toward what they want to go look at?

Are you boring and stingy with rewards so they are looking at everything else but you to get what they want?

Are they afraid to make a mistake so they choose to do nothing instead?

Will your dog only do a behavior when they know you have a reward for them?

These are all human created issues and they are issues that dog trainers see all day, every day.

The hard truth is, you are the problem. With time and consistency, any half competent trainer can show you that you can be the solution to all of these.

We train all over West Tennessee. If Tennessee is too far for you, hit us up and we will try to find you the best professional in your area. It doesn't matter if it is pet obedience, protection, detection, service tasks, or behavior modification. If we don't do it, we know the right people who do and are happy to refer you to ensure that if you do the work, you will get the best outcome possible for you and your dog.

Our group dog training classes have resumed at Stockdale's - Paris, TN at 6:30pm every Thursday. Come join us to start unleashing your dogs full potential! All ages, sizes, and breeds are welcome.

What you need to bring:
-Leash
-Collar (not a harness. If you don't have a collar, we can help you pick one out before class starts)
-Treats or Kibble
