While breeding dogs is mostly very enjoyable, there are times when tough decisions need to be made in order to continue with our program. Sometimes we have to decide that it’s time for one of our beloved adult dogs to find a new home. Living with a large number of dogs is not always the most ideal situation and we understand that the dog would be much happier getting more one on one attention. Also if we keep all of our “retired” dogs we would not be able to continue with our program and goals as we would have too many dogs ourselves. We have decided to retire Shady. He will be looking for just the right home. He is very good with other small dogs, but with larger dogs he should be introduced slowly. He does chase cats a little bit and has some prey drive when they run around in front of him. He has an all around awesome personality and is very outgoing and loving with a great sense of humor. He is good with kids and he is good in the house (he may need a belly band to stop marking). We don’t have to crate him when we leave for periods of time during the day, but we do crate him at night. I think he would be ok sleeping with his family members in bed at night though. He loves to play with toys and his “buddies”. One of his favorite things to do is to race around the yard with them and bark. LOL He also loves to lay next to you while you watch TV and get belly rubs and lovin’. He is 3 years old and will be neutered. If you feel you would be the right home for Shady please contact me for more info.
