The Tiger Angelfish is a rare and strikingly beautiful species that has captured the attention of marine enthusiasts. This angelfish is renowned for its bold black and yellow striped pattern, reminiscent of a tiger, hence its common name. It is endemic to the western Indian Ocean, particularly around the coast of South Africa and Mozambique. Its limited distribution and the challenges associated with its collection contribute to its rarity in the aquarium trade. Despite its allure, it is not commonly seen in home aquariums.

Caring for a Tiger Angelfish requires a well-established marine aquarium with plenty of live rock for grazing and hiding. In the wild, the Tiger Angelfish feeds on sponges, tunicates, and other encrusting organisms found on the reef. In captivity, they require a diet that mimics their natural feeding habits. Offer a variety of foods, including high-quality angelfish preparations, marine algae, and sponge-based foods. Supplement their diet with mysis shrimp and finely chopped seafood to ensure they receive adequate nutrition.

The Bellus Angel is a beautiful fish that is an iridescent white and blue color with black striping. There are also red highlights on the dorsal and a**l fins. This is a peaceful species that does best in a harem with one male and multiple females. We have two females in stock. They are considered one of the more “Reef-safe” Angels, but still need to be added with caution. Keep them fed 2-3 times a day. Feed a varied diet of Vitamin C soaked pellets, meaty frozen foods, and seaweed.

The Flame Angelfish is a flashy addition to many aquariums. One of the most popular of the dwarf angelfish, the Flame Angelfish is a bold red/orange color with vertical black stripes highlighting the body. They requires at least a 70-gallon aquarium with lots of hiding places and live rock for grazing.The diet of the Flame Angelfish should consist of Spirulina, marine algae, high-quality angelfish preparations, mysis or frozen shrimp, and other high-quality meaty items.

We had to share another photo of this amazing fish—-The Red Anglerfish is a small fish that grows up to 9″ inches. The coloring of its body varies because individual fish tend to match their living environments with the capacity to change coloration and pigment pattern; but the dominant coloration varies from yellow to brownish-orange, green, gray, brown, almost white, or completely black without any pattern.

They are found in the tropical and subtropical waters from the Indian Ocean to the center of the Pacific Ocean, and in the Atlantic Ocean on the western coast of Africa and from the New Jersey coast to the southern Brazilian coast including the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean. This species inhabits shallow, sandy areas or rocky and coral reefs to deep waters.

Anglers are carnivorous and will eat smaller tank mates. They often mimic coral or sponges around them to blend in with the environment known as cryptic coloration.

The Bicolor Angelfish is recognized for its striking coloration and unique appearance.This angelfish species is found in the Indo-Pacific region, including areas such as the Great Barrier Reef, the Red Sea, and the western Pacific Ocean. They inhabit coral reefs and lagoons, where they can find shelter and access to their natural diet. This is a great addition to any smaller aquarium.

This juvenile Blue Angelfish in stock now! It is one of the most beautifully vivid fish in rocky reefs known for its graceful swimming style. They are typically found in the tropical western Atlantic Ocean. They can be easily confused with their close relative, the Queen Angelfish. The Blue Angelfish can be distinguished by their light blue pectoral fin tipped in yellow and a blue tail with a yellow margin. The Blue Angelfish does not have a mark on their heads compared to the Queen Angelfish’s crown of black with a blue margin. It is important to note that hybrids of the two species are common and can be difficult to distinguish. The Blue Angelfish has an average body size of 13” and can grow to a maximum length of 18”. A Blue Angelfish has an average lifespan of 20 years in captivity.

We have tank raised Mandarin Gobies! In the wild they are native to the warm Pacific waters between Japan and Australia. Sometimes called mandarinfish or dragonets. They populate sandy lagoons and coral reefs, enjoying warm shallow water and abundant food supplies. Despite their vivid coloration, the fish is difficult to spot in the wild because it’s a small bottom dweller, adapted to hiding among the rocks and coral. Feeding wild gobies is challenging for even the most skilled owners because the fish sometimes rejects frozen or bottled food. Tank-raised fish will have a smoother adjustment to your home tank because they are already been conditioned to prepared foods.

Powder Blue Tangs are a fish with personality and a certain presence. Their size could reach up to 9 – 10 inches in length and they live 5-10 years, so an aquarium around 125 gal and larger is best. You can tell this fish is healthy, judging by the intensity of its colors. It is very important for Powder Blue Tang to never experience food scarcity because it will bring forth their aggressive and territorial behavior towards other fish. Many choose to feed this fish by hand to ensure it is well-fed. The Powder Blue Tang will prove to be a great addition to your tank. In stock now! See you Tuesday.
