🕷️ Where Do Ticks & Fleas Actually Live? 🐜

Many people imagine ticks and fleas hiding deep in the woods, but the truth is they're often much closer than you think.

Ticks Love:
🌿 Tall grass
🍂 Leaf piles and yard debris
🌳 Shaded areas under trees
🪵 Wood piles
🚧 Fence lines and overgrown edges
🌱 Areas where wildlife frequently travels

Ticks don't jump or fly. Instead, they wait on grass and vegetation with their front legs extended, looking for a ride on a passing pet, person, or wild animal.

Fleas Prefer:
🐕 Areas where pets spend time
🌳 Cool, shaded spots
🍃 Organic debris and leaf litter
🏡 Under decks, porches, and outdoor structures
🐿️ Places frequented by wildlife such as squirrels, rabbits, and stray animals

Unlike ticks, fleas can jump impressive distances and reproduce quickly once they've found a host.

How to Reduce Ticks & Fleas Around Your Home:

✅ Keep grass mowed regularly
✅ Remove leaf piles and yard clutter
✅ Trim back overgrown vegetation
✅ Create a barrier between wooded areas and your lawn
✅ Check pets after spending time outdoors
✅ Stay current on veterinarian-recommended flea and tick prevention
✅ Reduce areas where pests can hide and thrive

We've been quietly working behind the scenes and are excited to share that we're currently in the testing phase of a potential tick and flea deterrent service!

Right now, we're putting it through its paces to make sure it meets the standards we'd expect for our own families, pets, and customers. Because we're still testing, we don't have an official launch date yet—but if all goes well, it will be available soon!
