We have an update on our sweet girl that came into our rescue last week with both back legs broken from being ran over by a car. She had surgery on both back legs in hopes of trying to save the worst one, by yesterday morning, our Dr let us know that her left leg was not going to be salvageable as her foot was dead and starting to turn necrotic. She had to go back into surgery to have that leg amputated. This morning, she was trying to stand up by herself and she’s doing so much better.

We did get confirmation that she was in fact a stray that people had been feeding for sometime and they were calling her Truffles.

Her bill is sitting at $5,082.60. We could really use some donations to help cover her bill.

🆘🆘🆘🆘🆘🆘🆘🆘🆘🆘🆘🆘🆘🆘🆘

We have an emergency situation, this sweet chonky girl came in after being run over by a car. The Good Samaritan brought her to our vet and one of our board members was there and saw how sweet she was and after talking to our vet, we agreed to take her into our rescue. She does not have a microchip, and we have posted looking for potential owners. The person who found her said she’s been a stray in the neighborhood for years.

Both of her back legs are broken, she will need surgery to pin/plate both legs. She will need lots of TLC and prayers.

We are looking at $3,200 to do her surgery. If you can spare a dollar or two, we would greatly appreciate it.

We have had a couple of emergencies come up in the last 24 hours with a new kitten and a young tnr cat.

Our new kitten, Calli had a re**al prolapse. This is her third time prolapsing, first time in our care. She had to have what they call purse string sutures put in to hold the re**um in while it tries to heal.

Ashley picked up a TNR cat who had a ruptured eyeball that needed immediate care, which meant we had to have our vets at Town & Country Vet remove the eye. As it turns out, this cat is not all that feral and we have someone willing to foster her and work with her as she heals.

With these two emergencies our vet bill for them both is $1795.

We solely rely on our wonderful donors and without you, we couldn’t do what we do for these animal’s. We greatly appreciate you!

Today and tomorrow are TNR clinic days and Ashley is working her tail off over here!

Today we have 11! Yes, 11 cats headed to be fixed and we have more coming in tonight for tomorrow’s clinic!

Every night, more kittens are born outside with no safe place to go. Tiny babies fighting heat, hunger, illness, and predators before they even have a chance. 💔

That’s why TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) matters.
One spay can prevent hundreds of kittens from being born into suffering. One neuter helps stop fighting, spraying, and roaming. Every cat we fix changes the future for an entire colony.

But traps, surgeries, vaccines, recovery supplies, and food add up FAST — and kitten season is hitting hard right now.

We are asking for donations to help us continue fixing community cats and preventing more homeless litters before they start.
✨ $25 helps sponsor recovery supplies ✨ $100 helps sponsor a spay or neuter
If you’ve ever said “there are so many stray cats,” this is how we reduce the population humanely and save lives at the same time.

Please donate, share, or sponsor a cat today. Every dollar helps us alter these kitties and stop the cycle. 🐾✂️

Please help us welcome the one and only Ashley Trout to PBAA officially as our newest board member!

Meet the fearless face behind the chaos, the cat hair, the tuna and the spicy helicopter ears who, is now our TNR Director!

Ashley has been apart of our backbone since 2019 as a foster, a trapper and a transport driver doing everything! She’s the kind of dedicated rescue team member who can bottle feed a screaming kitten at 3 AM, trap a feral cat before breakfast, and somehow still answer messages from an airport terminal halfway across the world. ✈️😂

Her hobbies include:
• Collecting passport stamps and orphan kittens
• Saying “psssst, pssst” to the most feral cat
• Carrying a heating disc and kitten formula everywhere with a dedicated “car cat carrier”.

Under her watch, countless cats have been rescued, fixed, bottle-fed, loved, and given second chances. We’re incredibly lucky to have someone with such a huge heart joining the team with PBAA. 💜

Drop some love for Ashley! We are so excited to have her join us and we know with her on the team we are going to go big places!

Phew! Our new TNR director was working hard last night for today’s spay/neuter clinic catching community cats so we can hopefully slow down kitten season!

The neighborhood cats have officially entered their “hot girl summer” era and we are once again begging them to PLEASE stop making tiny criminals. 😩🐈‍⬛🐈

Our TNR director is out here:
✔ trapping cats
✔ dodging birds
✔ surviving on caffeine and emotional support snacks
✔ explaining for the 47th time that no, the orange cat is NOT “just visiting” your porch (peep the orange fella who’s kittens we have in custody 🤣, the chip boys)

Every donation helps us:
💉 spay/neuter more cats
🩺 provide medical care
🪤 buy traps and supplies
✨ reduce the number of surprise kittens appearing in sheds, engines, and random flower pots.

For the price of one fancy coffee, you can help stop:
❌ cat dating apps
❌ alleyway baby showers
❌ tiny screaming kittens at 3am

Please donate if you can and help us keep fixing cats one spicy kitty at a time!
Because the only thing multiplying faster than cats… is our vet bill. 💸

In total we were able to take in 9 cats for surgery this morning! We are working through multiple areas at a time to slow down birth rates in large colonies. In this bunch we have 3 Odessa, 2 big spring, 1 midland county, 3 city of midland!

We pay full price for those outside of midland city which is $100 per cat! Midland city offers a voucher which drops the cost to $30 a cat so In total today’s appointments will be roughly $690! Please help them by making a small donation or sponsoring a whole kitty fee!

What do you notice about this photo of some cute PBAA foster kittens?

Notice anything missing?

If your cat people you know we are in search of the braincell! That’s right it’s common knowledge all orange cats share a single braincell and we are pretty sure they will be in line waiting for their turn for a while 🤣

Oranges have a sweet yet derpy personality where looks out rank smarts and it’s a bit of chaos.

We recently welcomed 3 little orange boys affectionately named Taki, Cheeto and Frito to add to our former bottle baby Funyun so we now have the chip gang! Singletons do better with other kittens to learn from and work out energy. It took about a week for Funyun to realize they are friends not foes but now that he’s integrated its pure entertainment! His foster calls him the chaos gremlin as he doesn’t slow down for even a moment and is in constant motion. Now that he’s got friends that match his energy and it’s blur of orange streaks as they zoom past in a game of chase!

Show us your orange babies in the comments and let us know if they have ever caught the braincell!
