Great Lakes Bay Animal Society Great Lakes Bay Animal Society (GLBAS) is a volunteer-driven, 501(c)(3) nonprofit helping cats and dogs in need.

Since 2012, we rescue stray, abandoned, and at-risk animals, placing them in foster homes and finding them loving families. We at the Great Lakes Bay Animal Society believe that by mobilizing the caring power of communities, we can reduce the number of these unwanted, neglected and abused animals that are surrendered to shelters in Midland, Bay and Saginaw counties. As a companion animal rescue, w

e give care and treatment to animals in transition to permanent adoptive homes through our Foster Program. Our Outreach and Youth Programs promote education for responsible pet ownership and the importance of spaying and neutering for controlling pet overpopulation. The Outreach Program is also working hard to foster a cooperative environment in the Great Lakes Bay Region, encouraging like-minded animal rescue and advocacy groups to share resources and support one another. We host and promote events, programs and resources that will benefit all organizations and individuals involved with and interested in animal welfare in our community, keeping in mind our ultimate goal of reducing the number of companion animals surrendered and euthanized in the Great Lakes Bay Region.

Apollo 🚀 and Cricket 🦗 …. they are both so adorable! They aren’t siblings but are being fostered together. It would be great if someone adopted them together! Each definitely need a playmate.

Pimento is still looking for her forever home. This girl is so sweet and loving! She has been in foster with other cats, a dog and children and does well with all of them. Pimento is a petite girl and fits in your lap just right :)

Check out this handsome big boy. Rip is a big black panther with the heart of a teddy bear. He loves people and wants to hang out with you as much as possible. Once his motor gets going he is hard to resist.

Rip is 5 years old and was surrendered by his previous owner who fell in hard times. Rip would be the perfect companion to a person or family who can give him alot of attention.

Sweet Sky is looking for her forever home. She loves everyone she meets and just wants pets for purrs! Sky is about a year old, petite (6 pounds) and even comes when called by the name given to her when she was rescued. Message us if interested.
