Sweet Thang

My personal Rehab project. She is here for awhile. If she becomes a good beginner horse, she most likely will stay to join my lesson program.

If she’s a bit more intermediate, she will be available.

But I’m in no rush to decide anything.

Sweet Thang is slowly feeling better and better and hopefully she will be ready to get into a work routine in the next 2 weeks.

Let’s start with

Legend
Coming 5yo Stallion

Today we W/T/C and focused on steering off leg pressure.
We also worked on the Spanish walk
He is still a green bean but just needs miles.
Plan dressage foundation but all around. Eventually even some bridless.

Last but not least but definitely the smallest

Fabio the mini stud.
About 10yo

He’s adorable
He’s fun
He’s sweet.
Kids love him
Kids ride him on occasion

He’s just a cute little addition.

Hopefully next spring and summer he will have more training cart wise and trick wise.

OG man Dewy is up

Dewy aka Ye Old Luekang’s Legacy

He’s the OG. I’ve had him since he was 16yo. He’s a great walk/trot/canter horse. He doesn’t know anything fancy riding wise. But I love him.

He’s a great lesson horse.

Dewy knows how to bow but it’s not put on a cue. He also knows how to do the Morgan stance (park out)

His biggest flaw is his topline is terrible unless he’s in consistent work and he’s been off and on lame this year. But I love him.

Next up is my mare

She’s roughly 17yo, grade mare

She’s my heart!

She does walk/trot lessons for kids and is my go to ba****ck ride.

She can sit for a year and still go out on a trail and only spoke at flying turkeys. (I did too. So who can blame her)

She’s also going to training next year for just a quick tune up that I’m too lazy to do and maybe to get her canter.

Scarlet is my heart. She has done a little bit of everything from jumping to chasing cows to being roped off of.

I forget about this page. When I have 3 others to run. Oops! Anyways let’s start with introducing my current horses

Up first is

DNR Sensational Rock aka Rocky

Rocky is my 2020 Morgan gelding.
He’s the bestest boy ever.

He can walk/trot/ canter
Canter is still green.

He can ride bridless.

He’s learning multiple tricks but focusing on the bow and lay down.

He’s also working on liberty.

He’s going to training next summer to get fancy buttons and some more experience put on him. Mainly reining buttons because that’s what he shows excelling at. Plus some western dressage.

I haven’t posted here much! But I’ll try and start posting more! I have lots of goals. Especially next year with Rocky!

So he ran around with Fabio the mini stud and even got to sit on him (gotta get Fabio a saddle)

Then he rode Dewy!
