Trixie who has been in a home for almost 3 weeks was surrendered back to our shelter yesterday. No phone call, no explanation. The people who adopted her waited several weeks for her to become available and then dropped her here like they were returning an item to a store.
We are beyond heartbroken for Trixie who is crying and trying to get out of her kennel. Trixie is approximately 4 months old and is such a sweet lady.
Trixie gets along well with other, has been working on housebreaking and simply needs a home with patients.

You never think your pups will out live you, but unfortunately in the case of Breezy & Pearl it’s true. After suffering the loss of their one and only human these girls were left homeless. They were literally denied from shelters stating they were too old and rescues told them they would be ineligible for adoption, so not worth the placement. These girls went from being the love of someone’s life, to being told they were better dead than alive.

It’s true Breezy and Pearl are old, they are 12 & 14, but we are adamant believers in helping seniors. These boxer girls have spent their whole life together and right now each other is all they have. They are well tempered, well mannered pups that can coexist with other canines. Both have lived with children and are extra sweet with them. Breezy seems to be losing her sight and her ears can be a bit tender, but at 14 years old that’s not too uncommon. We are hoping to find a place for them to stay before the family has to euthanize. These girls really do deserve to enjoy their golden years comfy without worry. Princess is a 22lb terrier mix. Princess was pulled from a home where she was bred over and over again. The owners told the animal control officer that Princess was pregnant. We held Princess back from being adopted but after several weeks and no weight gain, our vet was confident she wasn't pregnant and spayed Princess so she will never have another litter. Princess was terrified coming into the shelter but certainly realized she is well cared for and loved.
Now, it's time for Princess to find her forever family.
Princess is quiet and likes to sit on your lap. We believe Princess is 3-4 yrs old.

Gunner needs your help. Gunner is an EXTREMELY shy and scared 1yr old, 15lb dog. Gunner does NOT have a mean bone in his body but will shake from fear. Gunner had almost no human interactions until he was approximately 8 months old.
Gunner just arrived at our shelter and is currently home with an employee and her dogs. We want to give him time to decompress and trust someone. As time goes on, we will update on his progress.

We are looking for a specific type of home for Gunner. He needs a quiet home with at least one other dog. Gunner will certainly come around with a 4 legged brother/sister.
Gunner is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and 4dx tested. He is currently on heartworm and F&T prevention.

Meet Omar, he is a 4-5 yr old, 35lb boxer mix. Omar has been with us for several months but is just now available for adoption. When Omar arrived at our shelter, he was heartworm positive and needed treatment. We treated his heartworm and Omar is now available for adoption.
This poor guy has spent most of his life tied outside in a yard in rural Georgia and when he came up with heartworm, he was surrendered to a shelter.

Not a single inquiry on the hound looking for a family…☹️

Pickles has a bad case of the “in betweens”. At 3 years old he is ‘in between’ a puppy and a senior. At 45lbs he’s ’in between’ the compact pup and the large majestic pups. His hound mix leaves him ‘in between’ a precious Beagle and a dignified Coonhound. The case of the “in betweens” has left Pickles practically invisible on the adoption circuit.

The case of the in betweens have left this hound unseen, so we want to highlight his attributes in hopes of making Pickles visible. This hound has a personality as soft and sweet as his floppy ears. While being part of the household is new to Pickles he has taken to being a professional cuddler in no time. Like most hounds he is super food motivated making training a fun easy experience, but one that he needs to continue to build on. Pickles loves his canine friends and would make addition to any playful pack. He has been working diligently on his leash skills, and now walks like a professional with a harness.
