UPDATE: We successfully achieved our goal of spaying/neutering cats in the targeted zipcodes with funding from the Maryland Department of Agriculture! If you are still in need of low-cost spaying/neutering for your pet, contact the shelter for alternative programs for cats and dogs in Frederick County. THANK YOU responsible pet owners!

Do you have a cat that’s in need of a spay or neuter? Call FCAC for more info on our PurrFix Grant at 301-600-1546.

In addition to this year’s PurrFix, we still have 18 spaces available from last year’s grant which has been extended from August 2017 to March 2018. The FY2017 PurrFix grant is for zipcodes 21788 Thurmont, 21769 Middletown, 21773 Myersville, 21716 Brunswick, 21701 Frederick, 21702 Frederick.

Spay/neuters for the zip codes above must be completed by March 30. Residents of those zipcodes experiencing financial hardship, or those eligible for disability, social security, other programs are eligible to have their pet feline(s) spayed/neutered/Rabies vaccinated for free.
