The Humane Society of Middletown was founded in 1959 by a handful of people with big hearts and small purses. We are a privately run animal shelter that is funded ONLY through the generosity of our supporters. We DO NOT receive any funding or support from the Humane Society of the United States. We are a no-kill facility. Our dedicated staff works hard every day to ensure that the animals in our c

Turquoise is a 9 week old GSD mix. If you all remember Sapphire and her pups who were rescued when we drove 3 hrs each way and had to pay $100 to the person that had them?? Now, fast forward 6 weeks and these beautiful babies are now available for adoption.
All have age appropriate vaccinations, will be spayed/neutered and microchipped. All will be placed on heartworm and F&T prevention. WE NEED A HERO!!!!

Hero is a 3-4 yr old possible Akita mix. This beautiful and sweet guy is just looking to land his head on a soft bed. Hero is extremely friendly and outgoing.
Hero, was found running the streets of Wallkill and was never claimed by his owner. Hero recently arrived at our shelter after being with the town for almost a year. This sweet guy gets along great with dogs and can be cat tested if anyone with cats is interested.

Gypsy is a 1yr old pit mix. She is the SWEETEST girl and loves both people and dogs. Gyspy is even good with cats. Gypsy has been around children of all ages and as young as 3 months old. Gypsy has not ever met a person she didn't absolutely adore.
Gypsy is a medium sized girl who weighs just 42 lbs and will make an amazing dog for someone.

Nike, a 9 month old puppy who has never had a family of her own 😢.
Nike came from a hoarding situation in Sullivan County NY. Due to legal proceedings, Nike was not available for adoption until she was almost 4 months old. Now, she has been working hard with our trainer Isaac Hylton and is now ready to be the best puppy for a family. Nike gets along with other dogs but cats are not her friend.
Nike is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and current on heartworm and F&T prevention. If you are looking for an amazing dog, please look no further. From now until 5/31, Nike has a $100 reduction in her adoption fee to amy approved applications.
