Good afternoon, and hope you all have been staying cool! We have been staying busy making our Golden Touch premier cooked horse feed, this product has perhaps the most nutrition per pound than most any other horse feed. It has a blend of home-grown grains including barley, corn, oats, extruded soybean meal, and supporting minerals and vitamins. This product is known to be one of the few horse feeds that will help older poor animals gain weight and keep it on, it will also shine up your younger animals with less daily feed required. Good afternoon and hope you all have had a great week, just completed another AG SHOP Drop at Eolia, in which we continue to add customers too, our next AG SHOP DROP will be on the 21st of May from 3-5 p.m. at Hawk Point VFW. We also just got back from a very fun and successful trip to Cooksville, Tennessee in which we met and delivered exotic animal feed to our customers at the sale. This coming week we will be bringing more exotic animal feeds to our customers at Cape Girardeau 5H sale. Recently we have been making more ostrich and emu feed for a few local customers, people that have contracted the Alpha-gal disease from tick bites can successfully eat these meats. We also have a young lady starting to bake treats and food for exotic pets, it’s a real challenge to find that special treat animals like that is still healthy. We are also getting closer to having whole ear corn; there’s no better feed for cattle than whole ear corn.

Pay Enough…. It’s unwise to pay too much, but it’s also unwise to pay too little. When you pay too much, all you lose is a little money. But, when you pay too little, you stand a chance of losing everything because the thing you bought is incapable of doing what you bought it to do.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot—it just can’t be done. So, when you deal with the low bidder, it’s wise to put a little something aside to take care of the risk you run. And, if you do that, you can afford something better.

Good afternoon, and hope you all are staying dry! As always, we have been busy down at the AG Shop for the start of spring, providing local and fresh grains for our customers, along with maintaining our goal to provide great common-sense nutrition. We always welcome custom mixes and smaller mixes for our customers who would like a smaller quantity. We are also busy with our upcoming trip to Cooksville, Tennessee, for a large exotic sale in which we will be bringing feed and samples for our customers. Our dates for the upcoming Hawk Point AG SHOP DROPS are the 7th and 21st, along with our Eolia DROPS on the 12th and 26th, both from 3-5 pm, so get your orders in. Good morning and Happy Spring! We have a very busy week ahead of us down at the AG Shop, which includes us bringing Kangaroo, our extruded horse feed, Golden Touch, and smaller orders for exotics to the Lolli Bros Livestock Market in Macon on Wednesday for our customers a little further out. Good afternoon, we have been busy processing a variety of feeds, including our dairy goat feed, chick starter, extruded bean meal (non-GMO and regular), and our Golden Touch extruded horse feed. We also make lots of sweet blend that are great for most farm animals for hand feeding. As spring brings lots of green grass, minerals become very important for all animals, including beef cattle. We offer High-Mag mineral for beef cattle to help prevent grass tetany. We also offer minerals for sheep, goats, and horses. Along with minerals, protein remains very important in the spring of the year. There are several types of proteins that are available for farm animals. Here at the AG Shop, we offer a 37% protein block that serves the small user. BTW, the fish are biting! We are now selling our floating fish food, so come by and see us. Don't forget our first AG SHOP DROP in Hawk Point is April 2nd from 3-5 p.m at the VFW parking lot.

P.S. We found the perfect definition of a customer, and we hope we will always remember how important he is to us.

What is a customer? A customer is the most important person in any business. A customer is not an interruption of our work. He is the purpose of it. A customer does us a favor when he comes in. We aren't doing him a favor by waiting on him. A customer is an essential part of our business, not an outsider. A customer is not just money in the cash register. He is a human being with feelings and deserves to be treated with respect. A customer is a person who comes to us with his needs and his wants. It is our job to fill them. A customer deserves the most courteous attention we can give him. He is the lifeblood of this and every business. He pays your salary. Without him we would have to close our doors. Don’t ever forget it.

The last couple of days here at the AG shop have been very busy. We are working on a new customer's order of Gamebird Layer for pheasants. We make a bit of everything, you know. We are definitely making more show lamb feeds for the young boys and girls who will be showing at the local fairs. We definitely support the youth in our area! We continue to receive inquiries about our Heinold Brand of show rabbit feeds, lots of youth showing rabbits. We are also preparing a show ration for poultry. As always, we are keeping our extruders busy by making kangaroo, wallaby, and golden touch, our special extruded horse feed. More and more people are getting baby chicks, so we will be busy making our crumbled chick starter and chick grower. As usual, spring always brings renewed excitement with new animals and various projects, no better way to stay grounded with reality despite all the negative news. Nothing beats the country life! Just a special note, Thursday, April 2nd will be our AG SHOP DROP at the VFW parking lot in Hawk Point, please try to get your orders in by Monday, the 30th. Happy Spring, everyone! Good morning! There are many feed choices out there, can the feed label tell you anything about the quality? We here at the AG Shop think there are ways to help determine some differences. Let’s analysis our NON-GMO Layer for example: We start with the first ingredients including locally grown NON-GMO grains which include corn, barley and soybeans, we list specific grains, not processed grains. The main protein source is extruded soybean meal. Here again is a specific ingredient that is totally different than soybean meal. Regular soybean meal is processed using a chemical called Hexane to extract the oil from the beans. Adversely our extruded soybean meal is processed by a natural heat process which adds nothing to the meal but leaves all 18% natural oil and 38% natural protein in the meal. We have been extruding beans to produce our natural soybean meal since 1985. You might want to check out Hexane. Flax and Fish meal are excellent protein sources with an amino acid to balance out the extruded soybean meal. The balance of the ingredients is produced by Fertrell. This company was formed in 1946, and all their ingredients are organic. Fertrell Nutri Balancers contain a blend of microbials, kelp meal, trace minerals and the highest quality macro minerals available on the market. We strongly believe that our blend of quality ingredients provides some of the best feeds on the market. We hope that everyone using our products will know that the feed produced for your animals will be wholesome and full of good nutrition. Good afternoon! We have had a very busy week with our state inspection on Wednesday. The inspectors visit us routinely to check our premises and acquire feed samples which are taken to the state lab to analyze the ingredients. The analysis is to make sure that our guarantees are correct, if a feed is not up to par, they will not allow the sale of that product. On Thursday, we travelled to Cape Girardeau to the Exotic 5-H sale, where we took some of our exotic animal feeds to fill our customer orders. The weather was beautiful along with a great crowd and lots of exotic animals like other exotic sales. We provide feed for our customers and always set out samples to make sure our customers can try our products before ordering. The last couple of days have been busy manufacturing our special horse feed with added garlic powder, the trend has been the use of garlic in our horse feed to help control flies and ticks along with other health benefits. We’ll soon be posting the labels for our current show feeds which include lambs, goats, pigs, chickens and rabbits please check us out for your show animal feeds!
