Meet Henrietta! 💛💚
Miss Henry is 35lb., female, Hound mix. She is fully vetted., crate and house trained, and walks well on leash. She loves other dogs and would do best in a home that already has (at least) one dog, if not more. She is fine with cats. Children need to give her a little space because chaos frightens her.

Henry (Henrietta) was found running around in backyards and a huge pond area for weeks. Poor baby was scared of her own shadow and that hasn't improved much. She will need an adopter with a great deal of patience and understanding but the love is well worth the wait. She is scared of sudden movements, loud noises, and doesn’t like changes in her routine once you have one established.

Miss Henry will need a home with a fenced yard. Having said all that, Henrietta is a complete love, once she trusts you. She has the softest fur and is the most beautiful fawn color. This baby will be hard to part with and I will be extremely picky when it comes to choosing her furever home, she will come to you carrying a piece of my heart but she needs a family to call her very own, is that your family?

Shared from a friend that works at a shelter, truer words have never been spoken:

Let me just explain something....

None of these are our fault, so when we can't immediately help your dog QUIT taking it out on me and the other shelter/rescue staff....

Lost your home
Got evicted
Had a baby
Quit your job
You got a pet, knowing your landlord said no
You didn't spay/neuter, so now you have puppies
You never taught your dog anything
We also can't take your dog that has killed other dogs, bitten 5 kids, has never seen anyone but you, and will attack anyone and everyone. B.E. THAT BABY YOURSELF!!!!!
We go through enough nonsense; we don't need you putting all of this on us.

YOU knew for 9 months you were having a baby. YOU knew for 30 days you were getting evicted. YOU knew your animal needed food and other things before you quit your job. YOU knew you were getting an 8-week-old puppy that would chew and have accidents in the house.

QUIT COMMITTING TO A LIFETIME FOR YOUR PET AND DUMPING THEM AT THE FIRST "INCONVENIENCE"!!
QUIT ATTACKING SHELTERS AND RESCUES!!! WE ARE DOING THE BEST WE CAN!!
We have jobs, families, and our own pets that we need to take care of. THIS IS WHY PEOPLE QUIT (SHELTER/RESCUE WORK), OR WORSE!!!

AND, an added note from me - we (rescues) are ALL VOLUNTEERS!! We do WHAT WE DO, out of our love/commitment to ALL of the furry ones that DO NOT HAVE A VOICE!! Be kind to EVERYONE, you never know what kind of day the person you are attacking is having/has had!!

P***y is a beautiful, low maintenance girl. She brings the love to you! She is a 2-year-old domestic shorthair who likes to snuggle.

Meet Arlo! 💚💛
Arlo is about 2 ½ yrs. old (DOB 10/08/22). He is a medium sized fawn-colored Weimaraner mix. He loves to play with humans and dogs. It would be best that he goes to a home without a feline, or with a dog-savvy feline. Arlo is a typical Velcro dog. He is very active, loves to snuggle on the couch, and will do his best to take up all of the bed. This young pup is also perfect with no accidents in the house, and he has learned to bark when he wants back in the house. His leash manners are a work in progress and slowly improving.

No guy is perfect, and neither is Arlo. He is lacking in some of his manners, but has greatly improved at jumping on people. He is also improving at only getting on the couch when permitted and jumping down when he is told. Though he will tolerate a crate, I would not recommend it for more than a couple of hours. He is likely to destroy anything in the crate. Like most Velcro dogs, he does not like being away from his people for extended periods. He has done extremely well with not chewing, but we have had some casualties along the way. Arlo is very protective of his people. He is vocal when a stranger enters the house.

Because of his propensity to jump, very young children are not recommended. Ideally, he would do great with someone who likes to do outdoor activities.
