Sometimes the best medicine is a snuggle. 💕
T.J., one of our incredible certified veterinary technicians, made sure our oncology patient Ozzie got exactly that during his recent visit.

Ozzie is in remission from lymphoma (yay! 🎉) but visited our hospital after developing diarrhea and vomiting. With a little supportive care, and a lot of love, he’s now feeling so much better. 🐾

Here’s to health, healing, and the power of a good cuddle. ❤️

Teamwork in Action: Helping Rocky Heal 💕

Our specialty teams came together to help Rocky as quickly and seamlessly as possible, and we’re thrilled to share that he’s doing great!

Rocky was all smiles (and so were we) at his two-week post-op appointment with our surgery team. He’s feeling fantastic and loving life! 🐾💙

Just a month ago, our oncology team evaluated Rocky for a large a**l mass. Dr. Shiu diagnosed him with a**l sac adenocarcinoma. Thanks to our integrated care model, Rocky was able to receive a CT scan right away to check for any spread of the disease.

One of the many benefits of having multiple specialties under one roof meant that while Rocky was under sedation for his scan, our surgeon Dr. Kierski was also able to evaluate the mass. The good news? Rocky was a great candidate for surgery. The even better news? The CT scan showed no obvious signs of metastasis.

Rocky sailed through surgery and recovery, and we couldn’t be happier with how he’s doing. Way to go, Rocky!

Macy showed up to have her sutures removed in style, rocking the cutest pink helmet and goggle combo! 💖😎

But this fashionable look serves a much more important purpose than just turning heads. Macy recently underwent enucleation (surgical removal of both eyes) after battling keratoconjunctivitis sicca (KCS), or “dry eye,” which led to severe corneal ulcers and ruptured corneas.

Thanks to the quick action of her family and our emergency team, Macy is now healing beautifully! Her helmet and goggles help keep her safe as she learns to navigate her new world without sight, bumping into things is a lot less scary (and a lot more adorable) when you’re this well protected.

We’re so proud of how far she’s come, and how fabulous she looks doing it! 💕🐾 Way to go, Macy!

🐶💦 Thank you to everyone who joined us last Sunday at Fitchburg Veterinary Hospital for their Dog Wash Carnival! We had an amazing time meeting new friends (two- and four-legged 🐕) and catching up with familiar faces. 💛

Our shell-ebrities 🐢 Gooch and Matilda loved making new friends, even if a few pups were a little suspicious of the "walking rocks" 😂

👏 A HUGE shoutout to Fitchburg Veterinary Hospital and everyone who came out, just a little under $1,000 was raised for Dane County Humane Society! WAY TO GO!! 🐾🎉
