We were so happy to receive these adorable pictures of Reuben during his recovery from urethral prolapse and brachycephalic airway surgery with our board certified surgeron, Dr. Kierski. A huge thank you to Reuben's family for sharing these sweet moments and for their kind words. 💖

Testimonial from Reuben's Family:
"Dr. Kierski took time to thoroughly explain the surgery and the benefits and risks. She sat on the floor with my dog and treated him with love and compassion. I appreciated the follow-up text to ask how he was doing and the ability to ask a question or send a picture to help put my mind at ease. The surgery coordinator Kiley was super friendly and her love for animals was apparent. It was nice to receive quick text updates from her and have someone able to clearly explain the process and what to expect next."

Reuben has been recovering beautifully and is doing great! We're so glad to have been part of his journey. 💙

Thank you again for entrusting us with Reuben’s care. Please help us in wishing him continued health and happiness. 🐕💕

🐾 Teamwork Makes a Difference! 🐾

When specialties come together, amazing things can happen...and sweet Lisa is proof of that. 💙

Lisa was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in November. Thankfully, a CT scan showed no evidence of metastatic disease, making her a great candidate for surgery. Thanks to the close collaboration between our oncology and surgery teams, Lisa was able to have her rear leg amputation within just one week of diagnosis.

Fast forward to her recent recheck appointment, and just look at that smile! 😄 Lisa is healing beautifully, adjusting well, and showing everyone just how resilient she is. She has now started chemotherapy treatment and continues to do great.

Stories like Lisa’s highlight the true benefit of having multiple specialties working together under one roof...coordinated care, timely treatment, and the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Please join us in sending Lisa lots of love and best wishes as she continues her treatment journey. We’re all cheering her on! 💪🐶💙

🐾 Sharing a Little Vet Magic in the Classroom! 🩺💛

Last week, our Internal Medicine Specialist, Dr. Fitzpatrick, had the cutest audience ever...a class of curious preschoolers! She stopped by to talk about what she does each day to help pets feel better, from careful exams to the specialized care she provides for sick animals.

She didn’t come alone, either! CVT Becky and her very patient pup, Georgia joined the fun. The kids got to listen to Georgia’s heartbeat and learn how to properly and safely greet a dog, and Georgia soaked up every second of the attention.

And to keep the excitement going, Dr. Fitzpatrick even left behind some fun veterinary medicine supplies so the class can keep the learning (and play vet hospital) going.

Moments like these remind us just how bright the future of veterinary medicine is. Inspiring young animal lovers starts with simple, joyful connections like this. 🐶❤️

🦃 Thanksgiving means cozy vibes, crisp adventures, festive decor…and lots of tasty food. But some holiday traditions can be risky for pets. As you prepare for the festivities this week, keep these tips in mind to keep the celebration safe for your pets.

🍗 Skip the Table Scraps
Many holiday foods can make pets sick...such as turkey skin, bones, onions, garlic, chocolate, raisins, grapes, and xylitol.
Safer options: plain turkey breast, unseasoned green beans, or pumpkin puree.

✨ Watch the Decor
Keep decorations out of reach and unplug extra cords or lights when not in use.

🔥 Be Careful with Flames
Use guards around fireplaces and keep lit candles away from curious paws.

❄️ Cold-Weather Walk Prep
Dress pets for the chill, stick to well-lit paths, and use a non-retractable leash.

Wishing you and your pets a warm and safe Thanksgiving! 🧡

Meet Marco, an adorable 8-month-old rescue from our friends at Bullies-N-Friends. 💙

Just days after being saved, this sweet boy suddenly became very sick with diarrhea, vomiting, lethargy, and trouble breathing. He was rushed to our emergency department, where he was diagnosed with severe pneumonia and immediately started on treatment, including high-flow oxygen therapy.

It soon became clear that Marco would need a portion of his severely damaged lung removed in order to survive. Our board-certified surgeon, Dr. Kierski, performed a lung lobectomy, and Marco started improving right away. This little fighter never gave up! 💪🐾

After nearly three critical weeks in our care, Marco headed to his loving foster home to continue healing. He recently came back for his 2-week recheck, and we’re thrilled to share he’s doing AMAZING...playing, exploring, and finally getting to just be a puppy again.

Swipe through the pics to see this miracle boy living his best life. 💕

We’re sure going to miss this spunky boy, but we are absolutely thrilled for him.

Congratulations, Marco! We’re so proud of you and hope you find your forever home very soon. And thank you, Bullies-N-Friends, for giving him not just a second, but a third chance at life. 🐶✨
