Full-Time Equine Caretaker Needed
About the Position:
We are a small, private horse farm located in Northeastern Ohio seeking a highly responsible and experienced full-time caretaker. If you have a genuine passion for equine care, a strong work ethic, and the practical experience to back it up, we would love to hear from you.
Daily Responsibilities:
• Mucking and bedding stalls to maintain a clean, healthy barn environment.
• Managing daily turnouts and safely handling horses of various temperaments.
• Feeding hay, grain, and supplements according to individual horse schedules.
• Administering medications and recognizing basic signs of illness or injury.
What We Are Looking For:
• Experience: Proven, hands-on background in horse care. You should be completely comfortable leading, handling, and observing horses.
• Reliability: You are punctual, detail-oriented, and take your responsibilities seriously.
• Physical Capability: You can handle the physical demands of farm work, including lifting hay bales and working outside in all Ohio weather conditions.
• Transportation: Reliable transportation to and from the farm.
Compensation & Schedule:
• Pay: based on experience
• Hours: 7:00am to 3:00pm 5 days a week
