MIRACLES DO HAPPEN: Ronald’s Heartbreaking Journey Has the Ultimate Happy Ending! 😭❤️

Grab the tissues, because you’re going to need them for this one. Yesterday, one of our beloved senior residents, Ronald, officially left the shelter. But this wasn’t just any ordinary adoption... it was a long-awaited family reunion!

Ronald’s mom was tragically told by an ex-partner that her beloved dog had "run away." Heartbroken, she searched and searched, never giving up hope of finding him. What she didn't know was that Ronald hadn't run away at all—he had actually been surrendered to Clay County Animal Services before making his way into our care at Safe Animal Shelter.

While scrolling through our website, she spotted a familiar face. Even though time had passed, she recognized his distinct scarring and knew in her heart it was her boy. She rushed to the shelter, and yesterday, Ronald was officially reunited with the family who never stopped loving him! 🐾✨

We are so incredibly happy for Ronald and his family as they make up for lost time. Welcome home, sweet boy! 🏠💛

🐾 FOSTERS NEEDED FOR KITTENS! 🐾

We are looking for loving foster homes for kittens who are not yet old enough or heavy enough to be spayed or neutered. By fostering, you can help these little ones stay in a safe, comfortable home environment while they grow and reach the age and weight requirements for their surgeries.

Food, supplies, and veterinary care can be provided—we just need caring people willing to open their hearts and homes for a few weeks.

Fostering saves lives, creates space for more animals in need, and gives kittens the best possible start before they find their forever families.

As we have taken in more medical cases recently, our dogs and cats have been extra hungry as they recover and regain their strength—and our pantry is running extremely low! To keep our sweet residents healthy, happy, and well-fed on their road to recovery, we are reaching out to our wonderful community to help us restock. 🛒🐾

This handsome 6-year-old found himself at the shelter through no fault of his own after a sudden owner surrender turned his whole world upside down. Because of that, he can be a little shy and apprehensive when meeting new people.
