Meet Gucci 🐾
Gucci is a stunning male from the Maine C**n case, approximately 3–5 years old, neutered, and the only cat currently cleared for adoption from the Maine C**n case.
After thorough veterinary evaluation, he has officially been given the green light — and he is ready for a permanent, committed home.
Gucci is confident, steady, and incredibly well-adjusted. He is good with other cats and excellent with dogs — even large dogs. Nothing rattles him. He carries himself with quiet confidence and transitions beautifully into a home environment.
He is currently in foster in North Carolina but can return to New York for an approved adopter.

Medical Transparency on this Maine C**n Line:
As part of the Maine C**n case, multiple cats presented with medical concerns consistent with poor environmental conditions and possible genetic risk. As well as issues from chronic neglect.
Maine C**ns as a breed can be predisposed to hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) and renal disease when not responsibly bred and screened. We have 2 with these issues and several with severe heart murmurs.
Within this particular group, we have also seen structural abnormalities in some cats, including spinal and conformational deformities. These findings further suggest a lack of responsible genetic screening in the original breeding program.
Gucci has undergone veterinary evaluation and is the only cat from this case currently cleared for adoption. At this time, he shows no clinical signs of cardiac, renal, or structural compromise.
However, adopters should understand that cats from unscreened lines may carry latent genetic risk.
We strongly recommend routine annual veterinary care, including baseline bloodwork and cardiac monitoring as advised by your veterinarian.
Gucci needs a home that understands large-breed cats and is prepared for lifelong care.
These cats deserved better from the beginning. We intend to make sure they receive it now.
