If you are out and about this weekend, could you remember this month’s Feeding Hope Pet Food Pantry? There is still time to donate before this month's pick-up which will be on Wednesday, April 30th. So, you have until 5pm CT on Tuesday, April 29th to drop off any pet food donations❤❤

Your generous pet food donations have helped MHS' Feeding Hope reach hundreds or even thousands of families. People who contact Michiana Humane Society for help and people visiting the food pantry at Trinity Episcopal Church Michigan City benefit from the dry and canned pet food as well as LaPorte County Meals on Wheels.

Until 5:00pm CT on Tuesday, April 29th, we will be collecting smaller, unopened bags of dry kibble and unopened cans of wet food for cats and dogs.

Your donation of pet food may be what makes a difference in a family needing to surrender their pet or be able to keep them. Finances can be tight year-round. We need your help to support families and their pets within our community.

You may drop items off at Michiana Humane Society or with our partners: in Galien, MI or if you are shopping at , you can purchase pet food from them, and they will hold it for us until pick-up. Let's work together to make a difference and show kindness and help to share the love🩷💕🩷

We've added small bags of cat food to our Amazon Wishlist for this month's Feeding Hope Pet Food Pantry by clicking here: https://a.co/9bKSxcg ❤ We'd love to show extra love to the cat families in our community this month. If you are out shopping this weekend, would you keep them in mind?

We are beyond grateful for how generous all of you are with your pet food donations, we typically don't receive as much cat kibble and wet food. There's an increase in the need for cat food donations for our community.

Your generous pet food donations have helped MHS' Feeding Hope reach hundreds or even thousands of families. People who contact Michiana Humane Society for help and people visiting the food pantry at Trinity Episcopal Church Michigan City benefit from the dry and canned pet food as well as LaPorte Co Meals on Wheels.

They have 20+ clients who responded "yes" when asked if they could use pet food in addition to the meals they regularly receive. Knowing how important pets are to homebound seniors, we are eager to do our very best to help them.

Until 5:00pm CT on Tuesday, March 18th, we will be collecting smaller, unopened bags of dry kibble and unopened cans of wet food.

The reason that smaller bags are preferred is:

1) We can distribute to that many more families.
2) Many people visiting the food pantry are on foot. When larger bags are donated, we are unable to divide into smaller sized bags as they all need to be labeled and have nutritional information when distributed. We also cannot accept opened bags as we need to be able to guarantee what is actually in the bag.
