As a Gold Star Feline Friendly practice, we are always looking to learn more about feline care and improve our standards. At our last team meeting, we found time to have a little bit of fun. We played Cat Games, and among some riveting trivia and word searches, each team was instructed to draw a cat exhibiting high FAS. FAS stands for Fear, Anxiety, and Stress. Feline Friyay! 😸🍩

Marmalade has excellent taste—if there were a cat version of holidays, Happy Doughnut Day would definitely rank near the top (right behind Napping Day and Treat Day).

Fun cat fact: Cats can't taste sweetness the way humans do. Unlike us, they lack a functioning sweet-taste receptor, so a doughnut's sugary goodness wouldn't impress Marmalade nearly as much as a piece of chicken or tuna. That's why most cats are drawn to savory foods rather than desserts.

Another bonus fact: A cat's purr isn't just for happiness. Cats may also purr when they're nervous, injured, or trying to comfort themselves. Some researchers think the vibrations may even help promote healing.

Just a friendly reminder that we will be CLOSED on Monday in observance of Memorial Day. ❤️🤍💙
As you enjoy the holiday weekend, here are a few tips to help keep your pets safe:
✨ Keep pets away from fireworks and loud noises
✨ Make sure they have plenty of fresh water & shade
✨ Avoid sharing BBQ foods that may upset little tummies
✨ Check collars and ID tags before outdoor fun
✨ Keep citronella products, skewers, and alcohol out of reach
