It’s been so hard to be patient, while searching for my new home and restarting my business under the Artisan Essentials label.
Finally getting close to the end of waiting, and anticipate making goat milk soaps, goat milk lotions, natural lip balms, natural cuticle creams and skin salves beginning early August.

The store site will be posted as soon as inventory is replenished. Watch for updates!

Nine years ago today, April 7, 2016, a chestnut filly was born for Whitemud Crossing Farm. Sired by Astronomicallee, she was out of a daughter of our beloved Liberation Rhythm N Blues and a great granddaughter of The Masters Touch and Salem Command. She was the last foal born to carry the Whitemud prefix.

Less than 2 months later, her breeder, my mother, lost her battle with cancer. Before we lost her, she registered the 2016 foals. After her death, I learned that she registered the chestnut filly, who carries so many of my ❤️ lines, after me.

Whitemud Jill Kendal was my Mother’s last foal. She was born on my birthday, chestnut, like me, and while I would have chosen so many other names for her, she carries mine.

JK holds a special place in my heart and when the day comes that I decide to not use her as a broodmare anymore, her retirement is guaranteed.

The creator of my logo has done it again! I just loved how they were able to take all the facets of the farm and create something that showed it all for me a few years ago. Now, with the upcoming relaunch of the business using Artisan Essentials to rebrand and add more to the mix, they were able to keep the original and include the new brand name for an easy to recognize transition.

One of the significant producing mares from Whitemud Crossing Farm, Whitemud French Minuet turns 24 today.

Of the ones that showed, she produced Whitemud Sky Captain GCH (who in turn sired Whitemud Fancy Free, Whitemud Citation and Whitemud Challenger before being sold and gelded,) Whitemud Fine & Dandy, Whitemud Midnight Lace, Whitemud Mint Julep, Whitemud Top Hat and Whitemud Goodtime Charlie.

Minuet is living in retirement, along with her dam, Anamosa (32) and my other retirees, and she’s living the good life I promised to my mother, just before her death.
