☀️🐾 Summer Heat Can Be Dangerous for Pets! 🐾☀️
As temperatures rise, it’s important to remember that pets can overheat much faster than people. Heat stroke is a medical emergency!
🚨 Watch for signs of overheating:
• Excessive panting
• Heavy drooling
• Lethargy or weakness
• Vomiting or diarrhea
• Bright red or pale gums
• Collapse or seizures
💧 Tips to keep your pets safe this summer:
✅ Provide plenty of fresh, cool water
✅ Walk pets during cooler morning or evening hours
✅ Ensure access to shade and air conditioning
✅ Avoid hot pavement that can burn paw pads
✅ Never leave pets unattended in a vehicle
✅ Be extra cautious with brachycephalic breeds, seniors, puppies, and pets with medical conditions
If you suspect your pet is overheating, move them to a cool area and contact your veterinarian immediately.
