LATINA IN EVERY LIFETIME. ✨

My story began long before I put on a white coat.

It began with my grandparents, who had the courage to cross borders and who made sacrifices to make my dream of becoming a veterinarian possible.

Being a Hispanic veterinarian means carrying generations of strength, resilience, and heart into every exam room.

It means honoring the sacrifices that built the foundation beneath us and representing the faces and voices our communities deserve to see in medicine.

I’m proud to stand here as a Latina, a veterinarian, and a leader, honoring those who came before me and inspiring those who will come next.

This Hispanic Heritage Month, I celebrate my family’s journey, my community’s pride, and every future Latina, Latino, and Latinx student dreaming of making a difference in animal health.

Representation matters, and we are here.

I’m leading the campaign with to highlight Hispanic veterinary professionals, honoring those who came before us and inspiring the next generation.

Sometimes the universe sends you the exact message you didn’t know you needed 🌟 I ran into at a conference this weekend, and it was truly a blessing in disguise.

We talked about vet med, collaboration, and the importance of bringing more positivity into this field. We also got real about how tough it is to balance veterinary life, holding a leadership role, while also being fully present as a mom. The guilt. The hustle. The wild scheduling. From being there for my patients and my staff to being the homeroom mom, field trip chaperone, sideline cheerleader, and memory maker for my boys. It’s a constant juggle 🤹🏻‍♀️

Being a working mom in vet med isn’t for the faint of heart or the faint of schedule 😅

I admitted how hard it’s been for me to consistently share my journey. Her advice: “Just do it.”

So here I am, doing it. I’m opening up about what it really looks like to balance leadership in vet med with mom life. The challenges and the joy. The growth and the grace. 💕

That made-up month between May and June where time feels like it’s moving at triple speed. When the calendar is packed with preschool graduations, end-of-year parties, soccer games, career days, last-minute getaways… all while our patient load doesn’t slow down.

The tough cases keep coming. The animals still count on us to be their voice.

And yet somehow we show up. As moms. As doctors.

Exhausted? Yes.

Pulled in every direction? Absolutely.

But also proud.

To every vet mom who powered through the chaos of May while holding it all together…We did it!

Now take a breath, soak in the sunshine, and say it with me: Hello, summer. ☀️

✨Happy National Golden Retriever Day ✨

Celebrating our Daisy, who has filled our home with so much love. We adopted Daisy 6 months ago from a client who was having medical issues and could no longer care for her. It was incredible how seamlessly she fit into our family. She’s become Lilah’s best friend, has become the boys’ snack buddy, and has even won over the cat. We’re so grateful for our golden girl who completes us! 💛
