There are viewers who still… do not realize I no longer own lovebirds, that my precious lovies died. The entire flock. I type those words and even the keystrokes are painful.

I miss them. It’s incredible how much joy they brought to my world.

The daily routine of caring for all 6 of you… I miss that. Most people think birds are just birds and totally replaceable until they love and are owned by a sweet flock like mine.

How they loved to chirp! I could barely keep them quiet.

Kiwi, Macho, Raven, Moji, Sura and Snowbell… you were one of a kind. 💔 I am grieving your loss which for my household is a big one. 💔

Hard routine to break…No chirping…No Kiwi calling out for me.Lord, help.I miss them.

Hard routine to break…
No chirping…

I so ❤️ receiving this update of Moji and Sura’s hatchling, Indigo, in his new home. sent out for a DNA (let’s see if it’s Team Blue!) and will let me know the results. So happy he is well and happy.

Just gave Moji a bath. When he’s dry, you can barely see where he was plucked but when wet it’s quite obvious. I do notice it’s healing and Moji flew this morning so those are two good signs. No collar at this time since I have not seen him pluck himself. Continued prayers appreciated. 🙏 Thank you.

Moji is doing well (eating, drinking); however, I can see he prefers not to fly so the area around his plucked wing must be sore. I briefly allowed Sura around him and she kind of ignored home (which is a good thing for now).

Moji’s backside is healing… little by little. This, I know, will take a while.

It’s 27°F outdoors but mommy keeps the flock indoors nice and warm.

Sura was the one who attacked Moji. I never would have guessed as she is not an aggressive lovebird at all. This morning as I was preparing their food, I saw her physically attack him and I quickly got him out of the cage. They can’t be together 😭 and I am beyond confused and puzzled as to why Sura would do that. Hormonal? Wanting another clutch and he didn’t? I don’t get it. 🤷🏻‍♀️

For the time being they are apart. Moji has overall had a good day. He is not picking at the injury so I’m holding off on the collar. The ointment I’m using seems to help with any itching he may feel. It’s the same ointment I used for Macho and it healed him.

Keep the prayers coming as Moji needs them. Thanks for caring.😘

No clue how it happened or which female cut him. I know it’s not Sura because she’s not aggressive at all. I cleaned it a bit and put medication. Tomorrow I might make him wear a collar… praying he will be fine overnight. PeachFaced lovebirds can sometimes be quite delicate so it’s scary when they’re ill or injured. I have to find a new avian vet in my area. 😔

Prayers for my Moji appreciated. 🙏

People don’t believe me when i say sometimes they don’t want to fly, they prefer to walk! Look!
