Rescue work can sometimes look simple from the outside — cute animals, happy endings, and adoption photos.
But behind every one of those moments is an enormous amount of care happening every single day.
Food deliveries.
Vet appointments.
Medication schedules.
Cleaning and supplies.
Emergency medical cases.
Right now Sunshine Animal Rescue is working through outstanding veterinary bills while also needing to restock supplies for the animals currently in our care.
Many of the animals we take in arrive sick, injured, or in rough shape. Medical care is often the first thing they need, and we never want cost to be the reason an animal doesn’t get help.
But those decisions do add up financially, and we rely heavily on our community to keep going.
If you are able to support the rescue right now, whether through a donation or sending supplies from our wishlist, it would truly help the animals here.

Running a rescue means constantly balancing the needs of the animals in our care with the very real costs that come with keeping them safe and healthy.
Food.
Formula.
Litter.
Medications.
Vet visits.
Emergency care.
It all adds up quickly, especially when we take in animals that need medical attention right away — which happens often here.
Right now Sunshine Animal Rescue is working through outstanding veterinary bills while also trying to restock the everyday supplies that keep the rescue running. Every bag of food, every case of formula, every medication refill is something these animals rely on us for.
When animals come to us they usually have nowhere else to go. Many arrive sick, injured, or abandoned. Saying yes to them means committing to their care completely.
If you’ve ever supported Sunshine, shared our posts, sent supplies, or donated toward medical care, please know that it truly makes a difference for these animals.
Right now we could really use help catching up on medical expenses and restocking supplies for the rescue.

Hi, I’m Tinsel!
I’m a 6-month-old gray kitten with a notched ear and the sweetest personality. I was originally meant to be TNR’d and returned outside, but I turned out to be way too gentle and loving for street life. Now I’m looking for an indoor forever home where I can finally feel safe and adored.
I am an absolute angel. I’m a total lap cat who melts into you the second you hold me. I adore cuddling, chin scratches, soft blankets, and being as close to you as possible. I’m playful too — just the right amount — and I love toys, exploring, and gentle kitten games.
I have siblings who are also looking for homes, and I love other cats. I enjoy playing with them, cuddling with them, and following them around. I’d be very happy with another friendly cat in the home, but I’d also do fine on my own with a person who gives me plenty of love and attention.
I’m fully vetted — neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and snap tested — and I’m ready to go. I’m located in Miami, but my adoption fee includes transport, and I can safely travel north every two weeks.
If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate, cuddly little gray boy with a big heart and a perfect temperament, I might be the one for you.

Despite everything he’s been through, Milo’s spirit is unshakable. The moment he was given freedom and love, his true personality burst through — and it’s pure joy!

From the harsh, lonely streets of Florida to the softest spot in our hearts 💕 Nugget’s journey has been nothing short of incredible. She was found alone, crying out for help, and we didn’t hesitate to answer her call. Since then, this little shadow has blossomed into one of the most affectionate, lovable girls at the rescue.

Nugget is a true cuddlebug — she’ll follow you from room to room, chatter for your attention, and she insists on bedtime snuggles. Sweet, silly, and FULL of love… if you’re looking for a velcro cat, Nugget is the one for you.

It won’t be easy to say goodbye, but we know it’s her time. She’s ready for a forever home where she’ll never be alone again ❤️
