Let's talk fireworks!! Did you know that a dog's hearing is 4 times better than a humans? Imagine that...the fireworks we hear are 4 times louder for a dog!! Please do NOT take your dog with you to a fireworks display. It is not fun for them. Please DO make sure your dog is microchiped and registered with your information. Also, make sure they have identification on them such as a collar with a tag and contact information. I prefer the collars that actually have your name and phone number sewn right on them. Amazon! If you know your dog struggles with fireworks, please call your vet and discuss medication. I like to keep my dog's in a well insulated room, with fans and radios, and some need medication. One more tip, do not baby your dog when they are afraid. The canine brain interprets that to mean....'my owner is being really sweet to me, they must LIKE my response to fireworks." Just talk to them in a normal voice,. If you are leaving your dog home alone, be sure they are in a secure location so that if they get spooked, they can't get out.
