2022 is a wrap at Fluffy Mutt. Thank you to our amazing employees for their hard work all year and our customers for their support. We ended our year with an employee lunch and paint party. We are looking for hard working individuals to join our busy, fast paced shop. This is not an easy job, but it can be fun. Starting pay is $8/hr plus tips. Usually works out to $10-12/hr. Vacation pay available after 90 day probation period. Opportunities for raises and advancement. Shifts available Monday-Saturday 8 am - 5 pm.

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
To ensure the grooming salon runs efficiently.

SUPERVISION:
Reports to: Head groomer
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Answering phone calls and scheduling appointments
• Checking in customers and bringing their dogs to the salon area
• Assisting in preparing dogs for baths or grooms
• Bathing and drying dogs
• Brushing dogs
• Performing nail trims
• Performing a**l gland expressions
• Checking out customers and returning their dog to them
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the grooming salon
• Washing and drying used towels

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must be able to read, write and speak clearly in the English language
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Knowledge of a variety of computer software applications, including but not limited to Microsoft Office
• Pet handling experience is preferable

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to withstand prolonged exposure to water and soaps
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to withstand prolonged exposure to dog hair
• Ability to bend, lift, and reach

This is an entry level position. No experience is necessary, but prior experience is preferred.
Once hired and trained on all grooming assistant duties, employees will have the opportunity to learn more advanced grooming techniques.
