A few months ago I was invited to present my career and work with my kiddo's 2nd grade class. They learned all about the importance of spaying and neutering your animals, dog body language, and how to properly ask first, approach, and pet a pooch. It was a great day for everyone but I think Whiskey, one of our training and boarding clients, had the most fun of all.

Special post for a special boy! This senior guy needs a foster/forever home ASAP, through no fault of his own. Bad news is that it's humans that have failed this sweet face, but the good news is that it is humans that can save him....(this is where you come in 😁)

With Solid K9 Training – I just made it onto their weekly engagement list by being one of their top engagers!

Not that it matters much, I just wanted to share that Jeff and the team at Solid K9 are always putting out great content and are a great resource for owners. They do fantastic work and can really help you understand your dog's behavior. Whether you struggle working with your pup or not.

¡GRADUATION ALERT!

This weekend Thanos returned home to his family with a whole new set of tools available to him and his people. When your pack dynamics are unstable, or unpredictable, or dangerous... it is stressful for EVERYONE. Good news, there are solutions!! Moving forward from fights is always harder for humans; you'd be surprised how quickly most dogs can get over it once they understand they are safe. So if we can get the humans and the pups on the same page - the prognosis is bright for everyone.

Looking forward to hearing about his continued success, and all of the wonderful updates in the future!!!

We'll miss you. This was a special guy! (Not that I have favorites!!)

I agree with Jeff. The elephant in the room that many trainers won't even talk about.

Jeff and his team are in the trenches doing this work. Their results speak for themselves.

He has tons of content on social media as well as YouTube if you're looking for some more insight into the process of behavior modification, and how you can avoid needing somebody like me or Jeff in your life.

Thanos. What a name for this giant baby.

Thanos is here because he's not getting along with his house mates. Because of his size, his owners need to be able to control him at all times, not just when it's convenient for Thanos.

He'll be here for a few weeks learning manners, and patience, and impulse control, and ALL the skills that are required to maintain, and contribute to, a healthy pack dynamic.

He already has a very gentle and steady disposition, which will naturally benefit him throughout this process. Not all pitties are so lucky.

Looking forward to his progress in the week's to come!!

Cash came here struggling to coexist with his family. He refused to listen to his humans, he would counter surf, dig up the yard, would bark incessantly when guests came over (or whenever he felt like it, tbh.). Craziness.

He wasn't an easy guy to train. He's got genetic "stuff" working against him, he's acting like a 4 month old puppy in a 1 year old body. I'm sure you can imagine how that might be problematic with a family with children. It's dangerous for everyone, especially for Cash.

It took WEEKS of repetition and trusting the process, and now look at him... doing great work in public in an unfamiliar place. He's come SO far. We can't wait to show off to his parents at his go home sessions this weekend!!

The School of I Don't Want To Get Up and But It Hurts University met again today for their annual Lazy Wrastlin Competition. Where nobody wins, nobody's loses, and they pretend too be THE BADDEST of boys (nobody believes them) while also trying to use as little energy as possible.

Today's bout is between Old Man Ace - Metairie's finest - and his newest challenger. A younger, and very beautiful, gentleman visiting this month from the great *Mid-City* of New Orleans.
