Friends of Mesquite Nevada Animal Shelter A group of volunteers that promote the interests & well-being of animals in Mesquite, NV. Goal is to serve the needs of homeless animals in our community.

Our group was formed by citizens who are dedicated to advocating animal welfare, community involvement and humane education to further the bond between people and animals and increase the adopt-ability of shelter animals. We endeavor to:

- build awareness in the community about the shelte

r;
- highlight our adoptable pets & work to increase pet adoptions;
- foster alliances with other animal rescue groups;
- offer community education & outreach highlighting the responsibilities of pet ownership;
- steer fundraising dollars towards agreed upon items not covered by the City of Mesquite Animal Shelter operational budget, such as extraordinary medical procedures, veterinary costs for animals transports to outside rescue groups, and lifestyle & facility upgrades for shelter animals;
- publicize lost animals in order to re-unite them with their owners.

These two kittens have come a long way in their short lives. they were found at about 10 days old along the side of the road. Eye just barely open, dehydrated and basically clinging to life. They went into foster with one of the shelter volunteers and began the long and difficult road back to health. Pattie bottle fed these babies (along with her other fosters) every 2 hours, stimulated them to go potty and gave them the love and care they so needed. to become the beautiful kittens they now are. Meg and Carlotta (for you Phantom of the Opera fans) are ready for adoption. They can be doted separately or together. They are very social and loving. They are currently still at their foster home but will be coming to the shelter soon. If you are interested in one or both of these survivors please call the shelter to set up a time to meet them. Due to the construction we are asking for people to call to set up a time to meet our adoptable animals. These two have been fixed and received their rabies vaccination so are ready to go to their new home.

Hi everyone. We have a little gray tabby that went missing a few weeks ago. If you live in the area of Burns, near Virgin Valley Elementary School please be on the lookout for Cali. Remember, do not chase or yell to, and instead of commenting please take the time to call the owner. It is so important you do that so she can get the information in real time when you see her. When you comment two days later, they have already left the area. Thank you everyone. 💗

Just a little update that things are going well with Tippy (Luca) and Lila’s. He is an outgoing little fun boy and such a love. Instantly purrs when you start touching him thanks to your team!
He and Lila are becoming great friends. It looks like it’s a perfect match in a lot of ways!
