We all know politically things are changing pretty much daily lately. That’s no different when it comes to our beloved pets. Vaguely worded proposals are being turned into bills, and laws seemingly overnight. While most might not affect you now, it creates a snowball effect. Once the law has been created it can be easily manipulated to destroy your family as you know it. We can all agree we want what’s best for not just our pets, but all animals. That is called animal welfare, not animal rights. Animal rights groups are submitting these proposals, taking steps to remove pets from homes. Preaching that all animals should be wild. The wild is not a kind place. Today they’re after our birds, but tomorrow they will be after our dogs and cats. We must band together to vigilantly monitor what our state and others are proposing. Follow these groups on social media, become members, help where you can, but most importantly stay informed.
